A blue hour view of Splash Mountain. Thanks for looking and have a great day! To my friends in the Northeast - stay safe out there.
I'm working on my photoshop technique today.... if you don't use it, you lose it right?
I saw a tutorial on creating splash..... it was super easy!
Splashing away the day away in the setting sun...
You can't phantom how wet your underwear gets when this shot was taken. Drenched.
Really missing the seascape scene, have to take the effort to visit punggol again, its been awhile since I see those boulders.

This was the scene along the esplanade yesterday! I had to stand well back to catch this splashing, crashing shot or I would have been soaked to the skin!!

This is my first ever square photograph. I've been confused but also fascinated by square photographs. I really don't understand where it's come from and the main reason for it? or is it literally just an interesting new format for your pictures?!
I love this picture, cropped from a larger wide angle shot, it gives it a much more powerful yet simplistic style. The island in the background was in the perfect place to balance the sun on the right. I have split toned this, with orange and blues to give it a hot look for the sun and a cool look for the sea. I think the effect has worked brilliantly.
Please let me know what you think, any ideas and critique, and also anything you like/know about square photos!!
Thanks :)
The image above is in readiness for some new 'gear' I have coming to enable me to carry out some 'tabletop' techniques and ideas I have. I was prompted by the book I recently purchased on Amazon - ('Tabletop Photography' by Cyrill Harnischmacker - Approx. £8.50p + postage).
I also found a Gavin Hoey instructional video on YouTube so as it was a simple set-up - [it had to be simple - otherwise I wouldn't have tried it ! ;^) ] - I thought let's go for it.
The splashes are none too 'exciting' but as I mentioned, it's just a test-run for the 'real thing'. ;^)
.
Mucho improved on the previous day's pathetic attempts...
I took some advice from fellow Macro Mondayers and followed Sam Foster's example for a set-up.
Only trouble was, using my tripod to suspend the water bag, I then had no alternative but to hand-hold the camera!
One of the best things about photography in WDW is taking the time to marvel at the amount of detail the imagineers put into each attraction. Splash Mountain is littered with them of course. For most, it's a fantastically fun ride for the whole family. For others, it's a work of art.
I always appreciate your thoughts and feedback and I hope you enjoy!
I was trying some high-speed photography. I was not satisfied with the results. I will give this a try once again with proper setup and plan.
For now, just played around few color tones to present an otherwise bad shot.
Please suggest your tips on high-speed photography. I added few comments about the shot myself in the picture. Please provide your feedback.

First ever strobist splash set-up thingy.
Cropped square.
Info:
Set a piece of glass up under the tap outside with a bucket to bring it off the ground. Had a white piece of card behind for some diffused light.
Flash camera left with home made "macro" diffuser which I should upload a pic of soon.

Mixed series of six. Splash Point is always a delight to visit and luckily for me it is just along the coast from home. After the Pied Wheatear I managed a few more pics of Meadow Pipit and a single one of several Black Redstarts. I waited for them to reappear with no luck.
Found it a little difficult to catch textures so I fell back to a bit of a splash in Tenerife!
