Amelia's Thursday included a trip to the farmer's market, the playground, the Island Park splash pad, and finally the Max & Emily's Summer Concert Series.
“As a young boy, when you get splashed by a mud puddle on the way to school, you wonder if you should go home and change, but be late for school, or go to school the way you are; dirty and soaking wet. Well, while he tried to decide, I drove by and splashed him again.” Jack Handy
Just another splash image I forgot to upload last week...enjoy!

I'm working on my photoshop technique today.... if you don't use it, you lose it right?
I saw a tutorial on creating splash..... it was super easy!
Splashing away the day away in the setting sun...
You can't phantom how wet your underwear gets when this shot was taken. Drenched.

Decidí hacer otra sesión de splash pero me doy cuenta que si no tengo presión de alguien ya no la hago, así que mejor subí esta foto que es compañera de una que coloqué hace algún tiempo. Creo que ya no tengo mucha paciencia.
Concentration (8/12)
As a junior this year, there’s a lot I’m stressing over: SATs, ACTs, AP exams, tests, final exams, colleges, etc.
The image above is in readiness for some new 'gear' I have coming to enable me to carry out some 'tabletop' techniques and ideas I have. I was prompted by the book I recently purchased on Amazon - ('Tabletop Photography' by Cyrill Harnischmacker - Approx. £8.50p + postage).
I also found a Gavin Hoey instructional video on YouTube so as it was a simple set-up - [it had to be simple - otherwise I wouldn't have tried it ! ;^) ] - I thought let's go for it.
The splashes are none too 'exciting' but as I mentioned, it's just a test-run for the 'real thing'. ;^)

Yahool! Travel Flickr photo of the day - Tue, May 14, 2013 by Michael Clemmer

"In this well-timed photograph by Roy Cheung, a young man cleans his supply boat on the shore of Lake Arthur Hill. Among the many things the British did during their years occupying India was their introduction of modern engineering and infrastructure to the subcontinent. Take for instance the huge dam they built across the Pravara River, near Bhandaradara.
Built at a site discovered by Arthur Hill in 1903, taking 16 years to build, the 270-foot-tall structure opened on Dec. 10, 1926 and was the highest dam in Asia at that time. Today its reservoir, Lake Arthur Hill, is still an invaluable resource for capturing monsoon rains for useful purposes."

I was trying some high-speed photography. I was not satisfied with the results. I will give this a try once again with proper setup and plan.
For now, just played around few color tones to present an otherwise bad shot.
Please suggest your tips on high-speed photography. I added few comments about the shot myself in the picture. Please provide your feedback.

First ever strobist splash set-up thingy.
Cropped square.
Info:
Set a piece of glass up under the tap outside with a bucket to bring it off the ground. Had a white piece of card behind for some diffused light.
Flash camera left with home made "macro" diffuser which I should upload a pic of soon.
