EXPLORED

Last September, I went to see the "Tangua'r Haor" for the first time. Me and my friend had a house boat for 3 days to ourselves ( except the crew of course ).

We just drifted around without any set pattern, the boat crew cooked for all of us on the boat and in the nights, we slept in the boat.

It was so relaxing, so soothing !

Because you really liked my last photo of Tangua, I decided to post some more photos of Tangua In Autumn. Hope you will like them too.

I love the beach colours in this easy watercolour background - cool blues and sandy beiges. They take me back to when I liked these colours as a child. They say smells take you back in time, but I think colours do too and for me, this adds to the calm these colours evoke.

Thanks for looking!

Today's going to be one of those "big decision" days, so I thought I'd start it off with some color.

Nature has the power to heal. My spirit is lifted by hope. Dreams really do come true here. The water is where I wonder and I wander often to the water. I am drawn to places that fulfill dreams and places that keep promises. I am surrounded by natural gifts and I am grateful for the ability to feel the power and live a life full of joy in Nature. The wind comforts and the sun soothes and each drop of rain falls perfectly and precisely into place. I walked into the water and was comforted as the water touched all of my body. This body is beautiful and this body certainly is a Gift. What a Life!

By Erik. Burnt Lake, below our campsite on East Zigzag made a nice day hike. It's also a relatively popular place on weekends in these parts. But very few people were around and the swimming was so delightful.

I love the impressions that agave leaves leave on the main body of the plant after they have unfurled...^+^

A new edit of a previously uploaded image. This time in colour and 6x7 crop. Taken at Mallyan Spout, North York Moors.

Marcus Andrew, happiness is a warm hug.

Sit in the middle of a roundabout, this single, soothing, and relaxing cloud kept me engaged. I tried to capture the essence of that feeling in this picture, bolstering it's own impression by pumping up, as much as i felt to, it's color and contrasts.

Beauty is in the little things.

The only day that is with sunshine and blue sky during my Kansai visit. The morning is terribly nice and chilling, makes it ideal to stroll around and shoot stuffs.

Taken at Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto, Japan, with kitlens and no filter. A near SooC result except for lens correction and contrast.

These are purple Picotee ranunculus. Picotee is a variety of flower whose edge is a different color than the flower's base color. The word originates from the French picoté, meaning 'marked with points'.

Having been born in a beach town on the Southern California Coast, I've long loved the ocean, its' sounds, its' life.. especially the ever-steady 'roar' of the sea. I feel blessed to have always lived near or close to the Pacific Ocean my entire life, and thought I would share some calming sounds with you all.

When I was a few hours from the coast, living around Portland, Oregon, I would miss hearing the ocean, and when on SL, I frequented beach sims, falling asleep hearing the sound effects there of waves crashing.

Listen!

Hear the fluid sand

Moving

Beneath the curling waves

Each grain

Coaxed shoreward by the tide

Whispers

against its' brothers' skin.

Come!

The water tickles

Shells

Twirls, lifts, and rattles them

Sharply

Creating counterpoint

Like cymbals -

Musical sharp edges.

Taste!

The wind is salty

Spice

To tantalize the tongue

Tempting

Lips open, tasting mist.

Eyelids bow

The sea is taking charge.

Dance!

Where sand meets ocean

Boundary

Of two worlds becoming one

Liquid sand

Terra-not-so-firma,

Become one,

With sand and wind and waves.

Music Of The Wind And Waves

After work on Friday, I barely had enough time to jump in the truck and find a spot when these beautiful clouds were forming this evening. This is in West Sacramento, near Southport, along the Delta, the sky couldn't be beat!

Editor's note: Happy Tuesday! A little piece of soothing eye-candy from the astronauts aboard the International Space Station...

One of the Expedition 36 crew members aboard the International Space Station on Aug. 23 exposed this image of the Strait of Gibraltar, where Europe and Africa meet and where the Atlantic Ocean waters flow through the strait into the Mediterranean Sea. A popular photographic target of astronauts has always been the Strait of Gibraltar, easily spotted at left center in this wide photograph, shot from the International Space Station. Spain is to the north (top) and Morocco to the south. The strait is 36 miles (58 kilometers) long and slims down to 8 miles (13 kilometers) at it's most narrow point. The British colony of Gibraltar is north of the strait.

spent a couple of lazy hours here

I've been feeling fucked up ever since I got back from Zagreb.

No one and nothing has been able to lift my spirits up for about three weeks now. And although I know that I can rely on my friends and family, I feel that, at this moment, the only person that can soothe me is - myself.

*

I try to act normal, to work, socialize and do my chores, but everything requires so much of my energy.

*

Today I was supposed to go out. But I didn't feel like it. I got an idea for a photo and it occupied my mind. I forced myself to get dressed, comb my hair and set up the gear. This photo isn't technically that good, but shooting and editing kept me busy for a couple of hours - and eventually, I realized that the entire process has made me feel a bit better.
