For the 10 Seconds group challenge with We're Here. Ok, so it wasn't 10 seconds: 8 was the best I could do with the software on the phone.
A gentle rain coaxes out some autumn colors along Quaker Run at the Buffalo Trail in Allegany State Park, NY. October 11, 2017.
Hypnotic and soothing the motion of a swirling sea at Mellon Udrigle beneath luminous light, turquoise seas and a delicate red sand beach. I love the smeared delicate hues. Please View LARGE
I just couldn't resist the beautiful greenery in the gardens of Hase temple...the trees just took me to another place...just awesome.

You probably could not make out what I was saying about the flooding in my province being a total tragedy. One person has died and four others are missing while thousands of farm animals have died in the “agriculture disaster” which has devastated southern British Columbia. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEEJMawDiFQ
Two images that I was going to do absolutely nothing with. After a bit of editing, this happened. Lesson learned.
Let me rest in the arms of Slumber, for my open eyes are tired;
Let the silver-stringed lyre quiver and soothe my spirit;
Weave from the harp and lute a veil around my withering heart.
-Khalil Gibran
Opened early. A much needed and beautiful build to soothe the soul. I'll be living here for the next few weeks.

2.5 acre Japanese-inspired garden. 100 Yoshino cherry trees, plus water lilies and native plants.
I stayed in the Bab El Sham hotel in Dubai, the hotel is 5* luxury all round and is way out in the desert, miles from anywhere. The place had only been open a few days, so we were among the first guests to stay there. The rooms were quite dark to keep them cool, and this was the light in the bathroom, i took this shot handheld as I wanted to capture the small bits of coloured glass in the shade, the camera picked up the shadows that I could not really see with the naked eye.
Well well, there are first to everything, right?
I sprained my ankle today!
So to feel better, I still managed to hop to the stove to make soup. Thank God for dessert I had made yesterday and vegetable tartlets too! I am just not used to not be able to do nothing!
This picture was rushed because it was quite hard to stay on my feet!

A child is a beam of sunlight from the Infinite and Eternal, with possibilities of virtue and vice- but as yet unstained.

A sunny sky with cooling offshore breezes and the continuous sound of softly crashing waves made for a very pleasant picnic place on the beach at Point Lance. St. Mary's Bay, NL
A very simple image, but I really like it. The blue of the sky, the trees and the lens flare makes this look so relaxing and calm.
I've used a Hoya CIR-PL polarizing filter for this one, and it worked like a charm for the sky!

I cut through a path in a area called Narrow River River on my way home from the ocean.I suddenly came upon a perfectly natural framed summers dream. This area runs directly out into the open ocean or north through neighborhoods.. It enables you to be very close with nature by the sea with many vantage points. It's a FAV of mine to kayak in. The distant perch is one of many built for exotic and birds of prey as a safe haven. I wanted to share another peice of calming nature beofre the work week :). HSS all you hard workers!
