We are enjoying some time at Le Chateau recently and have gone so far as to become members and renters. An 80s inspired community gives us a taste of everything from country club life to resort living somewhere in the French overseas territories. From golf to cocaine they have you covered and then some. We just decided to meet in the middle and take a trip to the mall today.

"Locarno" is terribly inaccurate - this is from the Verzasca valley, from along a walk from Sonogno to Lavertezzo that I've now done three times, always with a tripod but equally always with limited time due to bus connections. Some time in the future I want to make sure I have all the time in the world here.

When I saw this flower through the viewfinder, back in July, it gave me a good feeling. It's not tack-sharp in all areas, so I have held off sharing it here, but I still like the soothing feeling it imparts.

At Sjælsø there is always something to photograph. This particular photo show a not-so-uncommon Danish landscape. We don't have grand vistas with mirror lakes in front and snow covered mountain peaks in the back but what do have are hills that exhibit gentle shapes, with fields and/or trees following the contours. At least to me, these gentle shapes are really soothing.
