Day 21
I ordered myself a not so little christmas present last week and it showed up on my doorstep this evening. I got a great deal on this 5'x3.5' six in one collapsable reflector. It came in a box that was humorously large and it was quite exciting to snap open for the first time. I plan on using this big ol reflector quite a bit in the future, good purchase.

The Shadow Legionnaire is a long-running and successful racer. She may not look like much, but she's got some power under the hood. She excels on the straightaways.
The small images are a little more visible when viewed large.

First idea that came to mind for the potd was to get a shadow of the wheels on my bike. My idea didn't really translate to the camera. This one was my favorite of the bunch.
"Be silent and listen: have you recognized your madness and do you admit it? Have you noticed that all your foundations are completely mired in madness? Do you not want to recognize your madness and welcome it in a friendly manner? You wanted to accept everything. So accept madness too. Let the light of your madness shine, and it will suddenly dawn on you. Madness is not to be despised and not to be feared, but instead you should give it life...If you want to find paths, you should also not spurn madness, since it makes up such a great part of your nature..."

Almost daily I go to Taco Cabana for breakfast. A photo group I participate in has various assignments. This month it was shadows.
A few days ago I saw my shadow on the trash receptacle and saw that as my shot for the shadow assignment. The only problem was that I didn't have my camera with me (which is highly unusual).
So, the next 3 days were cloudy with no sun and no shadows. Finally, the sun was out and I shot this with my Canon SX 280 on self timer.
