Shadows

OK, I think this is my submission for the shadows assignment. In my mind, the shadows are playing an important role in the composition - I think without them the picture would be much flatter and less interesting. I am disappointed that I couldn't get both the flower and the mulch in focus even with different f-stops. It's that silly hyperfocal distance, isn't it Lynda?

 

Fran, don't worry, no flowers were actually harmed in the making of this photograph. It went straight into water when finished modeling.
