When we flew back into Phoenix from Texas, I spotted our shadow and thought it was kind of cool looking.
I know how this looks, but really, it IS a chainsaw, so please don't kick me out of the group. It's meant to be Deep Woods Arty, not lewd!

I think of casting shadows with my children. Their behavior depends on how I act. Simple to understand, difficult to do. This photo will remind me to cast a loving motherly shadow over their lives each day. Hope you will be inspired too.

When we were waiting for Felix to make an appearance, we came to this forest to walk everyday. We took different trails, exploring many nooks and crannies - the whole time we would talk to the baby and tell him it was cool to come out now, everyone was waiting for him, and that we couldn't wait to bring him back here. Well, now we can. It was amazing to go back with him and remember those last few days before he was born.

Shadows and light at play on the balcony of Wilson Creek Winery. We had a very enjoyable moment yesterday when, thanks to Jeff and Tom, had an opportunity to meet and talk with Rosie Wilson, the founder of Wilson Creek, as she was tending her rose bushes planted around the winery's Creekside Grill. She was so gracious, giving us the history of the winery, and also took group photos with us. Tom has a beautiful portrait of her here:
