While I've been recuperating, friends and family have stopped by bringing all sorts of goodies, including flowers, fruit, and other foods. Most know that these will brighten my day in all sorts of ways. The fruit, for instance, is as much fun to photograph as it is to eat.
At the Colombian Embassy for Passport DC's Around the World Embassy Tour, a day of open houses at various embassies in Washington, DC.
My First Shot with Strobes
I now own the strobes and the remote triggers.
First shot.. i know almost nothing of strobes.. so looking forward to LOTS of help and suggestions form everyone!
This one has two Yongnuo YN-467 (one from front and one from behind-left.. the red color is coming from the strobe in the back fried behind a balloon (did not have gel or cellophane paper last night :D). Fired with RF-603.

Sometimes shadows at the Booth Art Museum seem to take on a life of their own.

this time nobody asked, but i thought i'd go ahead anyway and show how i do these ragged white borders. this is not the only way to do it, and is not even the only way i do it (some other variations are in my on the border set), but in case there's anybody who both cares and has not already figured it out (a narrow intersection, i'd guess), this gives the basic idea.
