I love that last weeks fence shot went to explore. I have had two fences go that way. It is exciting for sure.
I have come to love my fence hunting missions. Sometimes the same fence but a new perspective and light.

I posted a similar image before but after further digging in my raw files this one came out much better, so without seeming redundant i'm offering up this image.

Last touch of sun for the day lights the tree tops on a cool night. This will soon be iced over. Might be better large if time allows.
You can argue about the eroded area in the middle. But sometimes there is no other way. I liked the rest of the picture, so it had to be posted :)
This is what started me off doing my seascape stuff, thought i had lost the picture but found it on another hardrive, did have this on one of my other sites too, sadly the owner died and it got sold and is no longer on the beach, it was always my favourite boat but never got the chance to get anymore photos of it, i also have it canvassed on my wall

"WHO is there to take up my duties?" asked the setting sun.
"I shall do what I can, my Master," said the earthen lamp.

One of those "argh" photos. I like it but just wish I had bracketed this shot...I did all the others. Ah well, lesson learnt and a reason to go back :)
Look at that sky, life's begun
Nights are warm and the days are young
~~~~ David Bowie
I'm a big Bowie fan, saw him twice in concert, and as I saw this wonderful golden light this song kept running through my mind. It was particularly the lyric I have quoted that was resonating for it suddenly felt like spring and like "life's begun".
Hasta la vista 2009...
-- a year of new friendships, fresh discoveries, awesome moments, some not so pleasant vibrations.... but otherwise a good year for me. I thank each one who made me feel special in this virtual world of flickr, where photographs are the faces we present. Just like in real life... we are not 100 % presentable all the time. And some of you are like real-life friends, still there, bearing with my moods, idiosyncrasies... hormones LOL.
Looking forward to another year with you...
A Fantastic 2010 To All Of You!
In The Light Of A Setting Sun....
Every once in while I like to pour through my photo archives looking for the one or two that got away, yesterday was one of those days; I pulled several images that on second sight caught my eye. I will post two today and perhaps when I have time post a few of the others. Each is wonderful in its own right and can stand on its own as a strong image. I love images that tell a visual story that really do not depend on a lot of explanation.
this photo taken at the beginning of November while on a photo hike to Heart Lake Conservation area. for this shot i had found a shaded place to sit on a bench under this tree when the setting sun broke through the branches and lit up the area in glorious fractured rays of light. luckily i had my camera at the ready to capture this incredible scene.
Thank you for visiting for marking my photo as a favourite and for the kind comments,
