I wanted to experiment with light last night. This metal slinky has to suffice; I cannot purchase anymore plastic!
But I digress. This might look like plumbing to you, but I curved the slinky to catch the beginning of warm evening hues from the western-facing windows. Then varied apertures and used manual focus.
Fun to experment!
Low tide on the island of Koh Jum, in Krabi Province, Thailand. Parts of the reef are revealed and the setting sun is reflected in a tide pool.
That’s my awesome husband playing golf… can’t wait until the longer nights and to getting back around the course with my camera… xx

Icelandic winter wilderness illuminated by a setting sun which does not appear to warm in the slightest.
The sun sinks behind the mountains in the west giving impressive sun rays as a bid farewell.

The Granite Basin Lake is a small lake nestled among pines and boulders of Prescott's iconic Granite Mountain.
The lake is popular for its hiking, camping and fishing activities.
We had a wonderful time while enjoying the setting sun.
Thank you for your comments,

Wasn't sure of this picture at first. The composition was nice but I wasn't feeling the colours of the native shot.
Original adjustments made using Lightroom to balance the highlights and shadows along with some clarity and vibrance tweaking. I followed by boosting the structure with NikSoftware Vivenza.
Final result was accomplished primarily from transforming the image to an antique sepia like tone with Silver Efex, and masking it with a lighting blend and adjusting the opacity and fill until reaching this final balance.

I was in London last week with some fellow camera club members having a look around North Greenwich and Canary Wharf. I stayed on in London after my colleagues had gone home to see the sun going down in the Tower Bridge area. The good thing about low light is that it's not difficult to do ICMs which is what I've done here. Shot with my iPhone.
Can I apologise in advance as I've picked up a nasty bug somewhere and if I continue to feel as I do right now I'll probably not be on Flickr much over the next few days.

After a last farewell, he left on his bicycle in the late setting sun of afternoon on that cold and blustery winter day. The snow that had melted and then froze to ice showed reflections on the road, but remained intact in the heaped mounds on the sides. Some of the stark trees in the park still showed the withered remains of Fall leaves. It was just another day of winter in Montreal! I then wondered, would I ever see my dear friend again?
I did in 2017 an I hope that I will again sometime this year of 2018 or 2019.! Dear friends must never be forgotten!
Heavy heads. August evening. The setting sun. No wind. In the far distance a bird rises out of the cover.

Smile, cause its friday :) Thank you all again for your constant support!
This was taken late afternoon last Saturday when the temperature reached an unseasonably warm 22c. I was on the top of a hill with views looking south east over the countryside. It really was a lovely sight especially with the sun getting lower and lower. This was not exactly a sunset, that was about another 45 minutes away but I thought the colours and haziness at this time were rather special, especially with the escarpment on the left.
