"Wide river, she opens her mouth to the sea
Singing dear, dear ocean, now
Here is a kiss from me
And she runs like a river to the setting sun
She runs like a river that has never been won
She runs like a river that will always be free
Wide river, carry me back home
To the place I love
That I call my own
And we can run like a river to the setting sun ...
Wide river, do you remember me
It was not so long ago
That you set me free
And now I run like a river to the setting sun ...
Come on baby, let's run in circles
Come on darling let's circle each other
And find the love, all the love that we need
Come on baby, let's circle each other
Well, we can do, do for each other
I'll do for you, and you'll do for me
And we can run like a river to the setting sun ..."

Tonight there was a very pretty sunset at the conclusion of a warm, summer day. Luckily when I took a late afternoon stroll, I took my camera with me so that I could capture the glorious reddish orange hues that filled the skies and gilded the clouds.
I happen to love layered fading mountain tops...this was a must stop spot for me as we neared the end of our dirt road journey....the dust is from a car that had just gone by below us. I purposesly underexposed the image and further darkened it in CS5.
A fascinating (to me, anyway!) look at the way the sun casts shadows of clouds. I think it looks rather dramatic!

Sunset at Monte Toro, Menorca. Balearic Islands, Spain
Elevation: 1,175' (358 m)
Many believe that Monte Toro pinpoints the spiritual centre of Menorca, where there has been a shrine and place of pilgrimage since the 13th century. Legend has it that Monte Toro, or El Toro as it is referred to by the locals, takes its name from a bull (el toro) which led a group of monks to a statue of the Virgin Mary in the rock face. However, some say the peak’s name is more likely to have come from the Moors inhabitation of the island, evolving from the Arabic words ‘al tor’, meaning high place or mountain, while others say the name Toro actually comes from ‘tor’, of pre-roman origin, like the Catalan word ‘turó’ meaning hill.
Taken from Masthuggskyrkan. But to be honest, the next stop is really Denmark, but you can easily pass Denmark and continue towards France and Spain and from there continue to America.
