At almost 65 years old veteran locomotive S303 leads T357 & 4908 on an SSR wagon transfer to Melbourne.

S303 & T357 are now in the care of the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre and both feature regularly on heritage trains. In some instances these locomotives are also hired out to freight companies as extra motive power which is the case here.

Train number 4GJ5 is seen here approaching Tynan Road, Table Top.

More walks with the children. Making the most of the dry weather and less chances of fighting over toys when outdoors!

Not sure what these are though...

On Sunday November 27, 2022, the NY Transit Museum ran the first day of their Holiday Nostalgia Rides for the 2022 holiday season! Unlike previous years, the event switched to the former Interborough Rapid Transit (IRT) lines using the museum's "Train of Many Colors," which features a variety of cars manufactured in the 1960s wearing various paint schemes from throughout their service lives.

R33 no. 9069 (St. Louis Car Co., 1962-1963) is the lead motor on the train as it arrives at 72nd St Station. The car and "Green Machine" mate 9068 are painted Kale Green, which was used briefly in the 1980s.

The full consist included:

R33 no.s 9068 / 9069 (St. Louis Car Co., 1962-1963) in "Kale Green" paint;

R33 no.s 9010 / 9011 (St. Louis Car Co., 1962-1963) in "Platinum Mist" paint;

R33WF no.s 9307 / 9308 (St. Louis Car Co., 1963) in "Bluebird" paint;

R36WF no.s 9586 / 9587 (St. Louis Car Co., 1963-1964) in "Gunn Red" paint;

R33 no.s 9016 / 9017 (St. Louis Car Co., 1962-1963) in "Tartar Red" paint.

Leons Scania K124 Van Hool Alizee T9 Y100 LCT passed to Sixty-Sixty, Merthyr Tydfil, in 2006, where it became MJI 6060. It was seen on the M4 motorway on 27th June, 2015.

Spent the evening so far burning photos of the residential last week onto disk for parents. Very quick shot!

An abandoned farmhouse cottage out in the Welsh Wilderness full of items from the 1960's, 70's & 80's.

What is it about abandoned houses and sewing machines - they always get left behind. I can understand pianos because they are so heavy but why always sewing machines??

For the third week in a row the Arpley-Tunstead-Lostock Works limestone circuit produced a Class 60 that hadn't been seen on this flow for a few years. The Lostock limestone often has a 60 tied to it for weeks on end, so to get three 'comebacks' in quick succession is a turn up for the books (and lenses).

Hot on the heels of sister engines 011 and 024, DB Cargo's 60092 returns to the Lostock limestone having last been seen on this working four years ago. The Super Sixty hauls the loaded train through Plumley station in the evening sun running as 6F05 16:21 Tunstead Sidings to Northwich Lostock Works.

This plant is a fighter. She’s persevered much longer than others who have graced this pot in the corner before her. I admire your tenacity, spiky plant thing.

A great stepback in the glorious years of racing with Sixties Endurance 2 hours race @ Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or 2016

I finally got two outfits I have wanted FOREVER... and in mighty fine condition, too! Stacey is wearing the HTF 'Tunic 'N Tights' from 1968. I have loved this outfit ever since I saw it on the video of old toy commercials I came across back in the mid 90's (decades before I started collecting) and was thrilled to find one with perfect top and tights, and a tunic and shorts in very soft, pliable PVC! (most of these are very stiff and hard with age.) I also recently scored a near-minty blonde short flip TNT Francie, with her original headband, a PERFECT flip all round and no issues whatsoever! (I splurged on her as she wasn't a bargain, but hey, life is short....) She is wearing 'The Combo' also from 1968. I also have the shoes for this, but prefer the pink ankle boots, just as I preferred the taller Mod 'Go-Go' boots for Stacey's outfit to the ankle boots that come with it. (My Auburn Marlo TNT is wearing 'Fur Sighted' while TNT Skipper is wearing 'Skimmy Stripes', and Titian talking Stacey in the background is wearing 'Fancy Dancy', BTW.)

GB Railfreight Class 60, 60087 "Bountiful" thunders through Lostock Gralam with 6M51 12:03 Doncaster Down Decoy to Liverpool Biomass Terminal.

Usually the freights I see through Lostock Gralam are slowing up to stop in Northwich to wait time (or to reverse into the works) - however the Super Sixty wasn't hanging around and flew the station - most probably at its maximum speed of 60 mph.

The working was running 78 minutes late at this point as had been late away from Doncaster waiting for 60087 to arrive from Tyne Dock.

Sister loco 096 was some way back on the rear of the consist - bringing the total number of Class 60s based at Liverpool for the coming week up to five. That represents half the GBRf fleet and I believe the most there's ever been at once on Merseyside since GB started using them on the biomass trains in January 2019.

These parts are dated between 1965 and 1970.

Purchased them some weeks ago and shot a few rolls. Cosmetic it is like new. Inside some springs needs to be renewed and everyting can use a tlc, and love of course.

Now i know the camera better, it is time for a complete revision, so it will go on for another 50 years.

Enjoying a little beach time and view of Puget Sound.

August 16, 1965: I was with my family, who were staying in a cottage at Crystal Beach (a small community on the Saint John River not too far from the city). Summer vacation! Should have been a carefree time, right? Well, on that day, I went into the beachfront 'canteen', as it was known, and saw a headline in the Evening Times-Globe, a local Saint John newspaper on sale there. It read, "L.A. RIOTS STILL SPREADING".

News of the Watts riots genuinely scared me as a kid. I thought, 'what's to prevent the chaos from spreading across the continent?' How was I to know? Adding to the general atmosphere of anxiety was a new song on the radio called "Eve of Destruction" . . .

Skill-testing question: In 2025, I'm six times the age I was in 1965. What is my current age? (If you can do this little calculation quickly, congratulations. Arithmetic is not a dead subject! Yet.)

Random abstract one today. Barely any camera battery so was a turn on/focus/shoot quick type shot. Not perfect but like the colours.
