Great Outfit from Addams. It's called Etta and is on sale now at the store. I love the cool 60's vibe it has. (hat and necklace not included)

It had been on my list of places to do drone shots for a while but my drone needs a bright day to get the best out of it. Next time I visit the tide will have to be in I think.
Apologies to my old 365 gang who have seen this wooden sculpture in every 365 project I've ever attempted. ;)

Here I am
Lay me down at your feet
I've been wrapped up in darkness
And it's time to be seen"

Driving by this street from a main avenue, I would get a glance of the lamposts and the brick roadway. I finally checked it out and took this shot.
Ever since I was a kid growing up during the sixties seeing street performers in New York City parks and sidewalks has been an integral part of the city's cultural life. I tend to appreciate than most people as in my time I have enjoyed music from Cajun music, country music venues, operas to body slamming people to heavy metal and punk music in mosh pits. Although the last part I haven't done since the eighties because at my age I prefer to comfortably sit.
A pair of SD60's roll around Bear Trap on a sunny January morning. These are a nice change from GEVO's. Not that many years ago I was shooting these in blue on Staples Sub coal trains.

Another beautiful icelandic waterfall. I had very hard conditions to shoot here, against direct sunlight and lots of spray of the fall in the air.

As we wind the clock back ten years, we find NS 350 departing Linwood Yard at sunrise with a classic GP60 quartet throttling up in trademark fashion. As these were being phased out of intermodal service, several were assigned to Linwood for short haul manifest service and scenes like this were commonplace during the summer and fall of 2007.

They were still in love sixty years later. They died only a few months apart. I found this on their dresser, the topper to their wedding cake.
They lived a whole life together.
I will never forget them and the example that they set for me.
They found happiness in the simplest of things.
He would ask her "what do I like?" when they went out to eat and he would have to order.
After she died they brought him into the room. Since the stroke he didn't talk to much... most of the time he didn't make sense... you couldn't tell if he was really aware or not... I watched him closely for some sign that he understood the significance of this moment... that he knew that she wasn't coming back.
I saw his eyes comprehend her death... and I saw that agony move down to the center of his being... from the inside of my grandfather... from deep within the core if him there came this sound... like the wail of a banshee it was the sound of pure heartbreak and angst.
In my life I have never heard such a sound. Terrifying in one way, deeply moving in another it had such a primitive dimension to it.
I will never forget that sound.
Same as our driver's ed car when I took it in high school. Except for the color.
2015 Back to the Fifties car show.
It has been a whole day of being on the move. Two hours by car from the in-laws house to the airport, 2 hours from Seattle to San Francisco by plane and about an hour from SFO to our house. On top of all that dealing with a very energetic toddler has wiped me out.
I was very excited when I saw this weeks theme for MAM which was move it, move it. I knew I was going to be at the airport and the first thing I thought of was one of my favorite shots from my hubby's 365. So I replicated it. Very happy with the outcome, me on a moving walk way.
I will catch up with you all in the morning.
Sixty-year-old CN 1439 works a cut of pressure cars near Sarnia Yard, where a tank farm and smokestacks provide an appropriate backdrop. The uniquely Canadian GMD-1 model experienced a bit of a revival starting in late 2018. This 1959-built unit had the distinction of being one of the last GMD-1s in service with Canadian National. All were retired in the spring of 2021.

Three of the Class Is have been running SD60s in the Twin Ports over the last two days. CN L568 drifts into Proctor Yard behind CN 5454 and 5450 on July 3, 2020. Pairs of ex-Oakway SD60s are the normal power for this Ranier to Proctor freight.
66/365 - Bad Day - Daniel Powter
Tuesday was sunny but not my day...
It was a beautiful spring journey, warm and colorful, so I went downtown with Loic after classes to take pictures but I wasn't able to find something decent.
On the way back home, I unlocked my door but it was still not opening : the second bolt, the one on the door handle I never use has been unfortunately locked before I closed the door and left my place.
The only problem was that I only had the second keys set, the main keys set with this key was inside.
That was the cherry on the cake of bad day with no inspiration at all.
So I had to broke the glass of my window to get in my flat.
After cleaning all the broken glass I closed the hole with my Nike 6.0 box and some tape...
So this is the story of today's crappy shot, and I found it mix perfectly with Daniel Powter's lyrics.
Hope you'll forgive me for posting a so bad picture.
