Just a week ago this was solidly frozen. Now you clearly see signs that spring is just around the corner. Yeah!

Despite its heavenly beauty, Sixty Lakes Basin is not an easy place to photograph due to its constricted nature. This is the best I could do that morning with the amount of equipment I had with me. Not happy with results but thought I'd share anyway....

Monday in the french pink city.
After courses we decide with my mate Loic to go to town to shoot ordinary pictures using natural light, we only took the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM with the 7D and two memory cards.
We went to the Wilson Square, where I've shot some cool pictures of people in the city that will be perfect for today's shot.
We were arriving at Loic's place to get my bike when I found this sofa on the corner of the streets.
Five minutes later, I knew that will be my daily shot, no matter what I could see on the way back home !
Hope you like this "no flash" period ?

During the Swinging Sixties, top models like Twiggy helped promote the Raleigh Wisp. It was a mix of the look of a bicycle and the functionality of a moped. It has fully automatic transmission, allowing riders to control speed with a simple twist-grip throttle. It is powered by a 49.9cc engine.
This 1967 Raleigh Wisp KTT 30E was seen at the Cotswold Motoring Museum on 6 November 2025.
"Could've been the way
The moonlight hit the dashboard
Passenger window rolled down
That got me thinking
There's something we should talk about
It's not worth waiting out
I can give you space if you need it
You can walk away, I'm not leaving
There's pride in my mouth, I got used to the taste
But I'll swallow it now and I'll be first to say
Those green eyes are my green light."

My long time friends and I are turning 65 this year. One in March, April and May and we have been friends since we have been 13. We are all many miles apart from each other so we will take pics of ourselves and photoshop them together. Sadly, one of the friends has cancer now and we are of course, hoping for the best outcome for her. I hope we can get together if this Covid will settle down for travelling. Look in first comment for a picture of the reverse side of these masks. Mine is the one with the bicycles on it.
OH yeah, In Canada when you turn 65 you get Old Age Pension! LOL ~ I'm in soon.
President's Day 2021 edition of the BNSF Pasadena Road Switcher heads west through Upland, California. Power today is two GP60M's (122/140) spliced by two GP60's (190/169). Twelve loads in tow for 1400 tons, including four car loads of 70' stick rail for the Gold Line Construction Authority in Pomona. Stay tuned...
A 60 second exposure at Evan Walker Bridge in Melbourne. While I was working on this one I zoomed in on the patrons under the bridge and to my surprise there was one person who didn't move the entire 60 seconds and looks just as sharp as the background.

it's never been as effortless before
I woke up at noon and stayed in bed and watched tv until 3 pm due to my headache.
Nina came over at 5 and we hung around and then went outside to take photos as she’s gotten a new camera the other day. when we came back we made pasta and then spent the evening watching tv.
I have been terribly unproductive lately.
I'm trying to break my habits and stop only taking photos of people from behind. I will be more creative again soon. I hope.
On 16 June 2022, 46100 'Royal Scot' hauled the 'Capital Express' which I believe was the first time she has taken passengers northbound over this route, since being withdrawn from the Main Line in 1962 for scrapping.
Fortunately, she was saved from the cutter's torch and, after passing through a variety of owners, she was restored to Main Line standards and continues to be operated by LSL.

With a tightly hemmed in foot crossing, lineside vegetation and an arrow straight line there wasn't a huge amount to play with in terms of composition but since this was my first sighting of one of the DCR Class 60's it's getting posted anyway!
