The Sapphire GT is a 1940's Grand Tourer. It has a V8 producing 170 Horsepower, connected to a 4 speed gear box, and capable of 125 MPH. Inside are tan leather seats, a wood steering wheel, and a 1x3 stud trunk. This model was built and renderd using Studio and was inspired by the Bugatti Type 57 and a 1940s Mercedes 300.
This is my second entry in the Lego Ideas Vintage Car Contest.

My wife and I have a new puppy around the house so I don't get the chance to get out for landscapes but I did catch the morning sun sneaking through the front window to illuminate this golden sapphire from the Anakie Gem fields in Queensland.
A couple days ago I posted a Golden-tailed Sapphire. Here is another Sapphire, the Rufous-throated Sapphire. One more hummingbird that is bright as a rainbow. In the first image, if you look closely, you can see a tiny mosquito near its eye. The rest of the images are a series as he stretched.
Rufous-throated Sapphire
A small hummingbird with a straight red bill with a black tip. Males have a green back with iridescent violet-blue underparts, a coppery tail, and a fluffy white vent. Females have grayish dark underparts with some dark spots on the chest. Note the rufous chin in both sexes, which can be hard to see. Mostly found in humid forests and wooded savannas.

Conforms to the characteristics of the family, Libellulidae: medium to large in size; banded wings; hind margin of the eye is straight not lobed; triangles on the front and hind wings are not the same.

A Sapphire vehicle running to Sevenoaks on route 308 is not unprecedented but is certainly far from common and after being informed a Wrightbus StreetLite was on its way south from Gravesend I just had to try and photograph it somewhere even if the light was not ideal for an afternoon southbound working!
Seen here waiting to pull out of Borough Green Road and into Wrotham Road having just passed through the delightful village of Wrotham is Sapphire liveried ARRIVA Kent Thameside 4265 GN64 DXF whilst working route 308. Friday 19th February 2016.

Sapphire Pool at Biscuit Basin in Yellowstone National Park. The pool was named Sapphire because the shape of the pool resembles a sapphire. The emerald blue water is beautiful, but, deadly as the temperature of that water is 200 degrees.

Photographed here at Waterworld car park in Wrexham is a new fleet of 13 Alexander Dennis E40D Enviro400 City's being launched following a £3.25m investment made by Arriva Buses Wales for Sapphire service 1 between Wrexham and Chester. This was the first service to launch the Sapphire brand 4 years ago.
