Morocco's fabled blue city of Chefchaouen was once a holy city, forbidden to those outside the faith. These days tourists and certain illicit markets tarnish this history. This being said, echoes and glimpses of the city's ethereal beauty remain present.
A drone's-eye view (Petrov) of part of NSW's Sapphire Coast, looking North towards Bermagui. The "mountain" on the horizon is Gulaga (Mt Dromedary) named by James Cook as he sailed Endeavour up the East coast of Australia in 1770.
A quick build with heavy influence from Newright and Legohaulic. I wanted to make a futuristic looking ship that a 1940s business man or detective would ride around the city of tomorrow.
Piloted by the famous P.I. Dactus Rhodes.
I know, another reflection but with such a still pool and an attractive livery it would have been churlish to pass by, the two lads were a bonus. The subject is Arriva Midlands "Sapphire" 4415 an AD E40D new 9/2014 which is loading customers in Corporation Street outside "The Square Peg"

This photograph was obtained at a facility with no wildlife in captivity. Some birds, mammals, and insects were drawn within photographic range by the provision of various carefully maintained foods appropriate to the species and habitat. Natural foods were also abundantly available in the area within and around the facility.
Photographed here at the launch of Arriva Buses Wales Sapphire Service '12' in Rhyl are brand new Alexander Dennis E40D Enviro 400's CX14BXM/N CX14AZG/J/L/N (4549-4555) seen here lined up at Rhyl Events Arena adding a sparkle to Rhyl also showing the new interior Specification of these vehicles and seating layout of H33/27F.
Service 12 between Rhyl and Llandudno which currently operates a every 12 minute service using VDL SB200 Wright Pulsars, Dennis Dart's and DAF DB250LF's although soon to be a every 10 minute service.

04Sept10 - Sapphire has been adopted to a very loving home in the North part of the County.
This beautiful portrait of Sapphire was taken for a sad reason - I have had to put her up for adoption.
My son's mother backed out at the very last second and sent me an email saying that they can't have anymore cats. Sapphire was supposed to be a companion for my son's male cat.
At least I haven't paid for her plane ticket, but I do need to cancel her reservation now.
The worst part is that Sapphire has bonded to my son now. This action is very typical of my ex. It wasn't her idea so it's a no go. Now why couldn't she have said this two and half months ago so Sapphire could have been adopted as a young kitten to a loving home before bonding to my son.
Sapphire was a free present for my son. I paid for everything and was even going to pay for the $80 plane ticket for her. But my ex didn't have a problem paying $150 for my son's other cat.

The eleven Sapphire StreetLites currently allocated to Northfleet (4263 - 4273) for routes 480 & 490 are due to be replaced but a new batch early in 2019 with these apparently off to Guildford.

Jumping forward some 15 years, I can't immediately see any models which can be seen in the older card. The oldest car I can see is the Cortina Mk4.
Its Sierra Sapphire 1.6 L successor was F249 OJH, which had a rather short life - DVLA says it had its tax cashed-in partway through Spetember 1993, presumably written-off or stolen?

Finally a post from me guys...think Im almost done with the moving and rearranging here and next door...why can't things be simpler? To fix one thing you have to adjust twenty LOL...the only chance Ive had to use my camera was last night with my first babysitting event with newest member of the grands Miss Harper...those eyes they just melt you!! Will visit late this evening to view what Ive missed! Stay blessed one and all of my Flickr friends!!
M S Saga Sapphire is a cruise ship owned and operated by Saga Cruises II Ltd. IT was originally built by Bremer Valkam, Germany for Hapag Cruises as M S Europa. In 1999 Europa was sold to Star Cruises and was renamed M S Super Star Europe and a year later M S Super Star Aries. In 2004 she was sold to Pullmantur Cruises and renamed M S Holiday Dream. In May 2008 she was transferred to the fleet C D F Croisieres de France and was renamed Bleu de France. In November 2010 the vessel was sold to Saga Cruises but retained the charter by C D F for a further year. Following an extensive refit in Italy from November 2011 to March 2012, the vessel was renamed Saga Sapphire.
The ship is seen here at the Port of Tyne at the Northumbria Quay on stop over as part of her cruise.

July's full "buck" moon, or "thunder" moon, is seen here peeking over the pastel blue and green hills of the Sapphire Mountains
during my recent-most outing to the Bass Creek area of the Bitterroot River, just north of Stevensville. Here the river has majorly receded from its high level and energized flow of a month ago, when the snowmelt off surrounding peaks was swelling its banks with the, now, unfrozen precipitation of this past winter, a season of ice and snow finally turned to water.
The river has split here at this giant sand bar, forming the proverbial island in the stream, depositing tree trunks and branches along the way, eventually, in some 20 miles or so, to commingle with the westbound Clark Fork River in Missoula.
Here in this photograph we have this Stagecoach in Carlisle Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 registered YX14RXL with the fleet number of 37086 seen here at the Stagecoach in Carlisle Willowholme Road depot open day taking part in the Name In Lights to raise money for charity here it is displaying 1 Wrexham Bus Station which is a Arriva Buses Wales Sapphire operated route. This vehicle was new to Stagecoach in Carlisle as 37086 in April 2014.
In just it's first few days of receiving full Sapphire spec including branding for route 6, Arriva Shires VDL Wright Pulsar MX12KWY 3769 is seen working the 300 to Wolverton, 15th November
The Golden-tailed Sapphire has a blue hood and golden tail, and there were a lot of them at the feeders at Wildsumacho. Some of the hummingbird species allowed me to get fairly close to the feeders while they were there.
Mill Beach is a pocket beach at the southern end of Cuttagee on the NSW Far South Coast. With a northeasterly aspect, it is protected from the southeasterly swells that dominate this coastline. In Summer it cops a blast most days from the gusty northeasterly winds and can be very uncomfortable.
ARRIVA Kent & Surrey old & new Sapphire branded vehicles are seen at Chatham Waterfront Bus Station on 24th June 2017 as Alexander Dennis - Enviro 400 - SN15 LNR (6484) on route 101 to Maidstone Town Centre passes Alexander Dennis - Enviro 400 MMC - YX17 NEJ (6519) before departing on route 700 to Bluewater
The arrival of new Enviro400s to Sapphire route 101 (Gillingham - Maidstone) saw the displacement of older, 58-reg examples.
Some have stayed at Gillingham, operating very regularly on the express 700/701 (now just 700) route(s) from the Medway Towns to Bluewater. 6451 (GN58 BSU) demonstrates that here.
Others have gone to Northfleet, operating amongst StreetLites on the Sapphire 480/490 to boost capacity on those routes.
A seeming consequence of this is Sapphire 'spare' Pulsar, 3762 (YJ08 DZN), in turn, appearing on other routes. This is one of the batch of buses previously used on the 480/490, which was retained and refurbished to Sapphire standard for continued use (because Arriva don't seem to like actually buying enough new buses for Sapphire conversions), but is now unloved.
It was on 499s on this day.
