This is probably my best action so far taken with the 5d, i struggled at first but thankfully I have got the hang of it.

I had a fantastic day at Crufts, although my bad leg played up quite alot! It was really lovely to see all the different breeds at Discovery Dogs, The Havanese, Pomeranian and Azawakh were my favorites. I said to myself before leaving for Crufts not to go over-board in spending, but as usual i did lol I brang home loads of goodies for Teddy, his favorite being Daisy's Dog Deli liver muffins.

I am a runner. A slow runner, but a runner nonetheless. This morning I went out for an 8-mile run in my favorite running shoes. These New Balance 1225's are a little bigger than my normal runners, and I save them for long races and training runs.

A couple of years ago, while on vacation in Toronto, I gave some thought to the different identities that we have. I am a runner. I am an emerging photographer. These identities are both a part of me. But if I had to rank them, I think that running would win out. I say this because, on that vacation, my husband and I were out for a run along Lake Ontario on a beautiful morning. We saw a lot of photographers who were out there with their cameras and tripods, and it made me think - in a beautiful environment, would I prefer to be running or photographing the scene. Ultimately, I decided that, if I had to make an either/or choice, I'd prefer to be running - I get a physical release from running that I just don't get from photography (at least not yet).

Even now, after completing my marathon and while I'm tapering down from the longer distances, I still feel that being a runner is a stronger part of my identity than being a photographer is. That might very well change over time, although I'm sure that running will always be a very important part of who I am.

Which brings me back to this photograph. My husband has always said that I get a special smile on my face specifically when I try on runners that fit me well. These shoes still give me that smile, so I decided to make them my subject of the day.

Shot with the charming little 15mm body cap lens that turns the OMD into a pocket camera. Almost.

The sun rising earlier is throwing me all out of wack at the moment, resulting in me running late for work this morning. I'm not really a watch/clock person + have pretty good instincts about the time (ie: I can usually trust my body to wake up on time in the mornings), but today I felt like I lost 20 minutes somewhere!

Anyway, I still felt like posting today, so the boy took a couple of quick happy snaps around the corner from my work. At 7.30am it's already beautifully sunny + warm, so all I needed today was this light cardi. Yay, spring is almost here!!

I've probably worn this outfit before, ahh well, I love all these pieces so why not?! My hair is in desperate need of a wash so it's up today. I'll probably have to wear it up alot more once it gets warmer, but I really like it out because it's so quick! I like sort of messy/wavy hair, so bed hair kinda covers that for me, which means doing my hair is pretty much done! All good though, if some warmth + beautiful sunshine means I gotta wear my hair up once in a while, I'll definitely compromise!!

This is a photograph from the 5th annual running of the Trim AC 10 Mile Road Race and Fun Run which was held in Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 3rd February 2019 at 12:00. The race attracted almost 1,500 finishers which demonstrates again the popularity of this race as entry was capped at 1,500. Indeed the event shows growth year on year mirroring the growing popularity of the race. The race started on the Trim/Athboy road on the town's ring road and proceeds to take an anti-clockwise loop out towards the village of Dunderry and townland of Kilbride before returning back to the Trim Industrial Estate for the finish. The route is held on quiet country roads with some hills at 3, 6, 8 mile segments. The road is well marked and marshaled and is comfortable able to accommodate the race at its current size.

The weather for this year's race good for racing but bitterly cold. There was a hard frost overnight but this brought clear bright skies and crisp air. There was a significant breezy headwind from around the half way mark until the the finish.

This photographs is part of a large Flickr photoset of photographs of photographs from the 1 mile mark and also from the 200meters to go mark. The full Flickr photoset is available at www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/albums/72157706458418584

Waterstops were provided at the 4.5 and 7 mile marks on the course. All access roads were well stewarded. Indeed the majority of the race was run on closed roads. The event was sponsored by Nally's SuperValu, who are based in the heart of Trim, and many other local business establishments. Credit must go to the Trim AC team for their flawless organisation. If the first three years of this year are anything to go on then this race will continue to grow in popularity. Runners from clubs and groups in almost every county in Ireland were represented today. For runners around the North Leinster and Midlands area this 10 mile race serves as a perfect training progress stepping stone to the Bohermeen Half Marathon which will take place in March 2019 and is located only 15 minutes drive from Trim. Today's race also served as the Meath AAI 10 Mile Road Race Championships.

The 10 Mile Road Race is becoming somewhat an endangered species of the Irish road racing calendar. The popularity of shorter races and in some cases the half marathon sees less 10 mile races being organised. There is also the considerable road management associated with the 10 mile distance. However, today's race in Trim shows that there is still huge appeal in these races. As the Ballycotton 10 Mile slogan used to be "A classic race ... at a classic distance". The Trim 10 Mile is slowing becoming the Ballycotton of North Leinster with the club's offering of this classic distance.

Timing and overall event management was provided by the Co. Kildare based company Popup Races. The results and more details about the race will be found on their website at www.popupraces.ie

ok so the meaning behind this one is that most people are to afraid [wether u want to admit it or not ] to face problems or when times get hard so most run away put aside or ignore it instead of facing things head on the mask in this one kinda represents how most wont speak either

I'm looking away also [not just because I'm trying to look like I'm running] because alot are also afraid to truly look someone in the eyes and say something is wrong or because their just afraid so ya sorry if it doesn't make much sense

This is a photograph from the 2013 running of the Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10KM which were held in the town of Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland on Saturday 7th December 2013 from 09:00. This year the marathon events return back to their spiritual home with all events starting and finishing in Clonakilty town on the Inchydoney road. Clonakilty is a bustling picturesque town in the heart of West Cork, and lies approximately 50 km west of Cork city. This is the fourth running of the event which started in 2010. The event has grown from strength to strength and has gained a reputation of being one of Ireland's friendliest marathons. The marathon takes in some breathtaking coastal scenery along a testing course. The route descriptions are available from the official website. The marathon event has now firmly embedded itself in the Irish marathon running calendar. It marks the de-facto end of the large city/large town marathons for the year and places the event at the begining of the Christmas season in Ireland.

The race events were electronically timed by Precision Timing (see their website: http://www.precisiontiming.net/)
