I was set up in the alley to get some shots of people passing by when all of the sudden a guy comes running down the alley with a car behind him. Being an idiot photographer, I keep shooting and don't get out of the way. I end up with three shots of the guy running, none of which alone really tells the story. Thanks to the miracle of photoshop, I have added the last shot of the figure into the first shot of the sequence. I normally only use photoshop for slight exposure adjustments and minor cropping but I could not help myself in this case. FYI the car turned on to the street and the guy was an accountant running to catch a train. Nothing sinister all.
I know, panning is not everybodys liking, but me I like it. I still have to improve in that technique.

I finally finished going through my Washington trip. I'll post a few then make a gallery for my website (famous last words). Here's the one blur that kind of worked. For those non-photo nuts among us, you pan the camera at the same speed that the subject is moving and, theoretically, the subject retains sharpness while everything else blurs out.
Explore Feb 2/08 #76 Since then it has disappeared from explore. American Wigeon. They run across the water in order to take off, always into the wind. IMG_0398
Off leash beaches are popular with dog owners and their dogs, and the odd passing photographer doesn't mind either.

Happy and wet from swimming in the river.
Female Labrador mix Merle knows Timmi since they have been about 10 weeks old. They grew up together and know each other so well, they have the best plays. I will show you guys pictures of the two together, too, it's about time.
Have a great weekend!

It's come to this - posting a bunny rabbit. It is a first for me however - I don't think I have EVER had one come toward me, ever. I was in the A-Squat POV, for those of you who know it. Los Angeles County Arboretum, right next to the pintailed whydah. Check it large - extra large. 😊
Finally found a house so tomorrow will be the last day for shooting for a while, until things are settled. ; )
A Sri Lankan boy runs out of the water. Does he have to get something? Did something sting him? We do not know. In the background typical Sri Lankan fishing boats.
Getting wind of a very late running No 35 freight train about 9 hours late saw me at Andover to try and get a shot at one of the few locations I could think of with the correct lighting. When I arrived the sky was black and there seemed no chance of getting a sunny photo. However the train did a crew change and was further delayed and miraculously as I heard the approaching train the sky started to break up a bit. By the time the train was infront of me it was now full sunshine peeping through the clouds. Note it was blowing a gale too as the grass will attest to.
