This is a beautiful rural valley, with the road crossing this stream many times via causeways. Not now thanks to all the rainfall. Gold Coast - Queensland.

A small vessel passes in front of the setting sun. I like this image, in particular, because of the mock-mirage of the sun. This occurs when a layer of cooler air is trapped below an inversion layer, creating the appearance of a sun that is no longer round.

The bright sunlight on its back catching the semi-iridescent feathers creating an intense shade of blue
Absolutely surprised by this spontaneous visit of this deer. It calmly ran across the meadow and grazed until it finally ran into a small wooded area.
At this time of year the sun has moved its position appearing to fall just over a lone tree. This information is thanks to a very friendly gentleman who has lived in this area for many years. While the intent was to capture the sun at that magical moment, a person on a paddle board was running parallel to the suns reflections. As it turned out, it was the spouse of the person providing key information that helped achieve this shot. Thanks to both, I am sure we will run into one and other again.

Getting wind of a very late running No 35 freight train about 9 hours late saw me at Andover to try and get a shot at one of the few locations I could think of with the correct lighting. When I arrived the sky was black and there seemed no chance of getting a sunny photo. However the train did a crew change and was further delayed and miraculously as I heard the approaching train the sky started to break up a bit. By the time the train was infront of me it was now full sunshine peeping through the clouds. Note it was blowing a gale too as the grass will attest to.
