Here's something I just bet you didn't know about me-
I like bright colors. :) This is all stash fabric. Didn't go buy a single piece. So I have no one to blame. lol
Fabrics for Round 4 of the ORBC quilt along, the Circle and Curves Extravaganza! OK, those are my words, not Heidi's.
There's another photo in my photostream that is almost the same, just has a different focal fabric. And- I have all those leftover solids from the wonky quilt, if I need solids.
I'm leaning towards this one, it's more striking. And I think I'll be making a miniature version of Heidi's quilt, either smaller in general, or used in smaller ways, like placemats.
gorgeous wide mouth pouch I received from the lovely Anne Elmosmate isn't it just amazing - love the AMH beautiful butterfly fabric and it really has a wide mouth - I'll be able to fit so much into this baby - thanks again Anne - the whole package is just wonderful !

This little Hermit Thrush has been hanging around this week with a young one nearby (hope to capture her, too). I was not sure of her identity, sort of looked like a juvenile robin from a distance.
Had the pleasure of meeting up with Abbitt, of AWFlims, while in Seattle a few weeks back. Abbitt's STI is pretty notorious around the web, having been on nearly every blog site out there by now. How the kid manages to drive it static all over the Seattle area, I have no idea!

One of the oldest and still functioning observatories in Europe, the round tower is also a sight worth seeing for its shape and architecture. It is unique in its smooth stepless ramp leading up to the summit and offers beautiful views all across Copenhagen.

Although it was a pretty cold start at Roaring Brook Falls, the day held promise. After some stops along the trail, I finally broke out of the the forest at the end of a particularly steep section to the mostly snow free bedrock on Giant's Nubble. Between the exertion, the open rock, and the warming day, it was pretty toasty up here, and I was soon stripping off extra winter encumbrances. Across the valley was this view of Round Mountain and the Dix Range. In March, winter was a long way from over up here.

Round 16 Challenge
C-Dals Aka Sue
"My challenge to you (if you choose to accept it) is a posed portrait of a person with any processing you choose. No candids and no Lego - a real live being ;-)
"
Sue spotted a real weakness in my photo stream. A complete lack of portraits.
This portrait is quite a harsh portrait, no smoothing of skin or reduction in the age. It's been desaturated but still a little of red is left behind.

The Ben My Chree ferry rounds the northernmost point of the Isle of Man during the annual round the island excursion during late June. Strong currents flow around this stretch of coast constantly shifting the steep shingle beach.
As a child I was taught at school that a few centimetres is added to the coastline each year at this point. That was nearly fifty years ago and the Island doesn't seem to have grown much in that time.
The round robin quilts were on display as part of the Western Branch Exhibition 2008.
This is one of 40 quilts made between 20 quilters from Ireland and 20 from Hungary using Round Robin. Its matching pair is next in this show. The quilters from Ireland are all members of the Irish Patchwork Society
