Few of my photos from the year 2012 which I never got round to uploading them to flickr.

Listening to Leonard Cohen really loud and making several robot drawings tonight. This is a happy round bot ...lots of circles. The text is about swarm robots. Tomorrow I will start a 6x6 mosaic for him.

I have waited many years to get a decent photo of this dainty little wild orchid also known as the Round-leaved Bog Orchid. I can't tell you how many hundreds of photos I have taken of these beautiful flowers and this is the first shot I have been happy with.

Here's the front view of th round house, at Alamosa, as seen in April 1996

Wow. That's bad lighting.

This photo is my project engine. I like the lighting in the photo it brings out contrast between the piston and the other cylinders.

Years ago, apparently the engineering school at WVU was experimenting with these cylindrical concrete stones, and my Grandpa got a bunch for either free or cheap... and used them to build all the garden walls. They are very nice and honestly stay right where you put them without mortar for... well.. they've been there 40 years. A few got hit by cars and they just fell over, they didn't break.

You can see them a few other places in town but as far as I know you can't get them anywhere.

They are super-great and I love them.

The composition isn't perfect, as I had to make do with a fence post as a tripod.

A shot of an actual FULL moon tonight, with my 6D and Tamron 150-600 glass.

An Edinburgh railings extravaganza tonight. Went wandering with the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 set firmly at f2.8 in search of these not very elusive beasts!
