Sunrise at around 0600. Just starting to come up.

Milky Way just after sunset. Location 1.

I've lost track of how many times I've placed my tripod in front of this cluster of trees.

One of my favorite spot to see the water reflection after the rain at fort baker. This was so low angle shot at 14mm view. Thanks Rokinon 14mm lens for such wide angle view and produced such sharp image :) One of my lucky snapshot of the day.

It is raining that is good for the California ;)

Probably the darkest place I've ever been to to photograph the Milky Way. Drove for an hour on a dirt road, in the middle of the night to this location. Completely pitch black out except for the stars shining above!

This shot of the Milky Way took me many tries to perfect in one shot. I had to wait for car(s) to go by, and then try and light paint the trees the best I could so that everything was illuminated. But, after many attempts, I ended with this beauty.

I was hoping this road pointed directly to the core but unfortunately it didn't. Still a fun shot. See some more of this trip here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIP_XE9ez88

This is a still from a timelapse I shot during my first night on the summit of Mauna Kea, altitude 13,360 feet. Unfortunately, altitude sickness forced me down after only about 4 hours of shooting.

In the foreground is one of the dishes of the submillimeter array. You can see a few more of them in the image. To the left is the Subaru Telescope.

This was taken with my Canon 6D, Rokinon 14mm at f/2.8, ISO 6400, and 30 seconds of exposure.

shot this at the Osaka garden in Chicago, it was my first time going there. i shot a couple photos and this is the one i felt confident to share,

Interested in using this photo or any other one on my stream, let me know and send me an email. thank you

"RO-KIN-ON" tonight's explosive sunset in Southern CA!!!! :) I am debuting my new 14mm Rokinon..... this is a crazy good piece of glass for the price!!!! Very impressed. I set this at... yes wait for it.... "f0 (is there such a thing?) and INFINITY" and VOILA....!!! Obviously NO filters, no stacking! 1 shot 25sec ISO100

This was taken way after sunset at 5.27pm (sunset was at 4.41pm)

Do let me know what you think????

*****Capturing the Light.... thanks to #escaype #sunsetforecasting !!! :D

Got some fun shots out at the Mojave National Preserve. Not sure why I hadn't thought of this kind of composition before.

Recent work by Morphosis. My 1st time shooting the building at night.

I discovered that this location is less than knee deep and has a nice gravel bottom. The cool water rushed by yet didn't disturb my tripod.

I love how sharp the Samyang / Rokinon 14mm lens is for how wide it is!

Using the old Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 manual lens. Long exposure in Leiden, the Netherlands.

For the 2012 LP Olys. EL taped into pattern, PCP strobing. Ever so slight hold on the EL stick, then spun out of hands while dialing the aperture wheel down to deaden brighter PCP. Gotta love manual lenses! SOOC picture style neutral, AWB, 1 second exposure at ISO 500 and 2.8-22 aperture changed midstream.

There's still time to compete, but not much!

Spent the evening shooting the sunset over Two Jack Lake only to find out later that my brand new memory card was corrupted. This was one of the few shots that survived.

The trees look orange because we had a tungsten light from our cabin on.

Back to Snug Harbor on Staten Island for the NYC Lantern Festival. The crowds were minimal on this very chilly weeknight.

During these stressful times it’s always a good idea to get outside and enjoy what your local area has to offer. One could spend a lifetime exploring their own backyard.

Sunrise in Rocky Mountain National Park...I was actually going for the mountain view that was behind me when I caught a glimpse of light out of my eye and when I turned around I about fell of this rock...I quickly found a spot, switched lenses and began to shoot...It was a crazy morning for sure but fighting the winds and cold was sure worth it.
