If you've ever come to the clifftops of Fundy, you know there's nothing lonely like it. Just a series of gentle coves and curves, no islands and few inlets along. The wind sweeps clear and crashes heavy into shore, riding hard on a restless resistance. The snow is falling up, rushing into sight from below the precipice. It's been a rough season for me, wildly uneven, split between the wonder of winter and the desperate hope of doing better this year. It's hard road to hike, chasing words and pictures as a means of survival. Talking to myself, and I'm always saying – whatever you do, you've got to do it with feeling. However it goes between here and where I end up, I leave me no option but to give it all I've got.

The summer sun has spent a few months beating down on the concrete streets of Manhattan and the locals are getting restless. What better time to kick back with a burger and a beer?
This is no ordinary beach party, however, this is the Yelp's A Beach Summer Spectacular! Dance to live DJ's, satiate your hunger with burgers, potato salad, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches from the Beach Kitchens. Entertainment included include Hula Hoop girls, popsicle purveyors, sunscreen, games, prizes and much, much more.
All guests sampled and judge ten different creations from a variety of small spirits purveyors in The Ultimate Summer Cocktail competition sponsored by the NY Spirits Awards. All donations went to the New York City Coalition Against Hunger which represents the more than 1,200 nonprofit soup kitchens and food pantries in New York City and the more than 1.3 million low-income New Yorkers who are forced to use them. The Coalition works to meet the immediate food needs of low-income New Yorkers and enact innovative solutions to help them move "beyond the soup kitchen" to self-sufficiency.

Today I was extremely lazy, like I am most days. I sat around Brenden's house and watched football. It was relaxing but I felt restless the whole day, like I was wasting the weekend. I couldn't think of anything to do! GRR. Anyways we sat in the hot tub and I think in a little while I'm going to take on the mess that is my basement. Wish me luck!! D:

Inukshuk has been staking out the back end of the Toronto Zoo's expanded polar bear enclosure, running it into a muddy mess. The layout makes for a great view of this incredible animal, though, as you're literally 20 feet away with no glass or wire to ruin the view.

Holy crap! I was sitting on the couch and my legs just started freaking out. Luckily, a commercial came on that alerted me to my obviously serious medical condition and its cure. Fortunately, the side effects of the "cure" only include total gullibility, slight fever, cold toes, anal bleeding, itchy balls, crusty feet, linty belly button, complete lack of common sense, short term memory loss, and what was I talking about?
I was a bit frustrated with work and my lack of recent photos of decent quality, and so I decided to crack the camera and tripod out in my apartment in the middle of the night, and just see what could inspire me. It's often very easy, I find, to overlook an opportunity right in front of your own eyes.
Living in France as I am this year, I have large, characteristically old-fashioned windows. Unfortunately, they're accompanied by ugly metallic shutters. Despite their unappealing daytime nature, I thought they made a great backdrop for this photo and I was quite happy with the atmospheric addition of my silhouetted figure.
