restless night but only one quake, but the kids were racing and playing soccer on top of my head , Im happy they are playing again
This breath is not smooth, this mind not still.
The dust is heavy beneath the bed.
Even in the storm, I sit and breathe.
New life is near. I bow my head.
This was originally supposed to be a very simple photograph and even simpler edit.
Then I started fiddling with it. And couldn't stop. So now it's kind of morphed into this extreme PhotoShop thing. It looks like I put on too much dark eyeliner, but I'm not actually wearing any.
Stay tuned for hat silliness. Later. Maybe tomorrow. :😄:
"When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. This restless craving in the souls of men spurs them to climb, and to seek the mountain view." - Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I opened my eyes and this is the first thing I saw....see the light on the drape? It hasn't touched the bed yet...I had to jump up and grab my camera before the light escaped my world...I am a slave to the light...
One of the exhibits in the 'Restless Earth' gallery in the Natural History Museum; a headstone with these words inscribed upon it:
Nothing lives FOREVER
Neither BODY
nor
SOLID ROCK
R I P
restless in perpetuity
The clock is projected onto the stone.
If you've ever come to the clifftops of Fundy, you know there's nothing lonely like it. Just a series of gentle coves and curves, no islands and few inlets along. The wind sweeps clear and crashes heavy into shore, riding hard on a restless resistance. The snow is falling up, rushing into sight from below the precipice. It's been a rough season for me, wildly uneven, split between the wonder of winter and the desperate hope of doing better this year. It's hard road to hike, chasing words and pictures as a means of survival. Talking to myself, and I'm always saying – whatever you do, you've got to do it with feeling. However it goes between here and where I end up, I leave me no option but to give it all I've got.

Restless durante su actuación el 20 de Noviembre de 201, en el pub La Luna de El Saucejo, con motivo del 15 DÃa de la Musica (Santa Cecilia)
I got my first real six string
Bought it at the five and dime
Played it til my fingers bled
Was the summer of '69
Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit and Jody got married
I shoulda known we'd never get far
But when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Ya, I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life
Ain't no use in complainin'
When you got a job to do
Spent my evenin's down at the drive-in
And that's when I met you, ya
Standin' on your mama's porch
You told me that you'd wait forever
Oh, and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69
Man, we were killin' time
We were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever
Forever, no...
And now the times are changin'
Look at everything that's come and gone
Sometimes when I play that old six string
I think about ya 'n wonder what went wrong
Young and Restless at Transit Bar, Canberra, 19 September 2008.
Absolutely insane show, with a film crew shooting the gig as well. Thanks for the extra lighting, guys!
I'm so pleased I got this shot, as it's a side of Karina you don't really tend to see so much during their gigs.
More shots to come.
