“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” After reading George Eliot’s words a few years ago, I chose to begin a new life. I’d been in an unhappy place, struggling through each unsatisfying day. Yet, within a few months I purged myself of all unnecessary things to give myself the freedom to make the objects I longed to create – containers, which hold things, conceal things. Everything we experience is contained – our lives, our bodies, our possessions. All is defined by boundaries and borders.
As an artist, I’m driven by compulsiveness, restlessness, and passion. The elements in my work are considered and intentional and embody this formality through my use of organic shapes, miniaturization, text, color, texture, and layered complexity. For me art is purpose. It defines the way I experience the world and has become the driving force in my life. Creating is the way I cope with everything.
Liberates me
Sets me free
I feel at home whenever
The unknown surrounds me
I receive its embrace
Aboard my floating house
Isn't it wonderful how many more hits you get when one of your tags is 'naked' and the thumbnail is ambiguous in regards to gender?

This little girl did her best to get a closer view during an evening performance at a Jesuit Mission in Battambang, Cambodia. She kept getting out of her seat and it was fun to watch her involvement in the show.
The Mission provides support for children who've suffered health problems from landmine accidents and those who have other disabilities. Children with these conditions are generally ostracized in Cambodia and the Mission provides a home with love support.

Not the biggest waves that bombarded Tynemouth Pier today but the best shot I managed from the steps.

Restless sinner, rest in sin,
He's got no face to hold him in.
He feels his day's as dark as night,
He's been waiting with the blind just to find a place to hide his ghost.
