Komodo dragons , the largest lizard in the world, in their new exhibit. A special viewing area allows young guests to crawl under the exhibit and pop up into an acrylic dome and see the animals close-up.

Taken on a restless night. Dublin is great streets for taking long exposures. Lots of small back aleys, roads with twists and turns; you sure to find some interesting light trails.

A celebration of Scottish artist John Bellany in the Victorian Market from 27 May-30 Jun
The acclaimed Scottish painter John Bellany who died in 2013 is garnering lots of attention right now with rave reviews for a newly released book, “The Restless Wave” by his wife Helen about their life together here and in London and Italy, so the timing is perfect for the Becoming Bellany event taking place in the Victorian Market from 27 May-30 Jun.
A celebration of the artist on the 30th anniversary of his "Bonjour Professor Calne" paintings, the public are invited to “encounter Bellany” by participating in the repainting of one Bonjour Professor Calne work and engage in a range of social and creative opportunities inspired by themes in his oeuvre. It’s educational outreach with an emphasis on fun and an innovative use of the Victorian Market.
The work is significant as it documents Bellany's recovery from a life saving liver transplant operation that heralds a lazarus-like personal renaissance and is an early example of his astonishing artistic rejuvenation until his death in 2013.
The 35 day project is the brain-child of Beauly artist Adrian Eaton who states; “The event is the culmination of my B.A.(hons) Painting course with the Open College of the Arts. Instead of a traditional degree exhibition, I felt that sharing the work that had been so influential in shaping the artist I've become would be a more satisfying and appropriate conclusion to both my studies and my engagement with Bellany."
Mr Eaton continued; "The event will be a success if the audience members join in the planned activites rather than merely spectate. Bellany was a great teacher and I think he would approve of that."

Restless Heart was welcomed to the Princess Theatre Saturday night.
The group played all their best known hits, and were on stage for about 2 hours. They also did a medley of songs by groups that helped propel their 30+ year career. As front man Larry Stewart commented, "these groups allowed our bus to follow their bus into many venues across the country."
The current band consist of:
Larry Stewart – lead vocals, rhythm guitar
John Dittrich* – drums, background vocals
Paul Gregg – bass guitar, background vocals
Dave Innis – piano, keyboards, rhythm guitar, background vocals
Greg Jennings - lead guitar, background vocals
*John was replaced last night by Chris Golden. John was out with some back issues and will return to play with the band soon.

This was an amazing sculpture out in the middle of nowhere made entirely out of branches, twisted and tangled to form pathways and tunnels.
It reminded me of Where The Wild Things Are..
RF's are yet another favourite bird. This was the longest I've ever enjoyed their company as a pair were constantly feeding and hovering with their magical liquid song at this spot. I went back to this area several times and they, the hooded robins, diamond firetail and brown treecreepers were always there.
Watching these birds hover is bird wonder. As is their colouring.
