I have been converting some of my slide audio visuals to digital so will be posting some of the images. These were made some time back while hiking the Otter trail on the SE coast of S Africa.

Got a new toy, some EL Wire. Went down to 1000 steps to play with it. I see myself using this stuff quite a bit. I really liked it.

The Red Sea Habitat is an 8,000 gallon aquarium filled with delicate live coral, a forty-foot tunnel surrounded by the 100,000 gallon Red Sea Aquarium. Eagle rays (to move in soon) with up to six-foot wingspans swim among some of the most beautiful fish in the world.

Vienna, Sat, August 1st, 3 a.m.: dididii, dididii, sh...ugar, time to get up!
3:20 : Michael, a friend from Germany who slept in a B&B just around the corner, knocking at my window. We have a quick coffee, last check, camera, lenses, batteries, cards. Off we go, to Seewinkel (a region in eastern Austria, wellknown for it's birdlife).
Quite some traffic on the highway for this time of the day.
4:45 : We arrive at our destination. It's still dark. Time for straightening out our legs and a cigarette. The we camouflage the car (with camouflage nets) and get into position. It's still dark now and the moskitos find us. Armies of them stream through the windows.
5 a.m. : Beginning of dawn. (Stupidly) we shoot some testpics, all blurry, of course, - at least, autofocus works already. Nothing else happens so far.
5:15 : Time for breakfast. Great! The sandwiches are still in the fridge, at least they'll stay fresh :D
5:30: Sunrise. The moskitos vanish - thank God! Several coots enjoying their early bath behind the reeds, every now and then, one gets into sight, and the photographer's reflex makes us push the button. They're too far off anyway.
5:45: Nature awakes. Some Black-winged Stilts landing in the far right, too far for us. 2 Eurasian Curlews passing by, and also the first herons appear from out of nowhere, landing far-off somewhere behind the reeds. Great Egrets as well as some Purple Herons.
6:10: Light is getting better for taking photos, so I try to get some flight shots. Recurring scenery: Herons gliding into our direction till they're about 30 metres away, then they turn away and land somwhere in the nowheres of the reeds. We can hear the first tractor in the vineyards behind us. First doubts rising. Will some Purple Heron come close enough?
As if he had sensed my restlessness, Michael says, there's an ashtray in the back of the car( - I hadn't bothered smoking in his car). but there's no ashtray, just a bottle holder, so Michael gives me the one from the front. And while I'm rolling a cigarette, I hear Michael whisper: "Purple Heron! There!" That was at 6:23:01.

Restless Heart was welcomed to the Princess Theatre Saturday night.
The group played all their best known hits, and were on stage for about 2 hours. They also did a medley of songs by groups that helped propel their 30+ year career. As front man Larry Stewart commented, "these groups allowed our bus to follow their bus into many venues across the country."
The current band consist of:
Larry Stewart – lead vocals, rhythm guitar
John Dittrich* – drums, background vocals
Paul Gregg – bass guitar, background vocals
Dave Innis – piano, keyboards, rhythm guitar, background vocals
Greg Jennings - lead guitar, background vocals
*John was replaced last night by Chris Golden. John was out with some back issues and will return to play with the band soon.
