The red patches at this angle have an orange tint. None of these colors would be visible without the strong sunlight reflecting through the scales.

Another iris that recently bloomed in my garden. Both my Nikon and iPhone can't really capture the color of the flower. It's a beautiful ox blood red.

Midland Red North became well known for their passion to rebody mid-life Leyland Tigers with new East Lancs bodies. The majority of these were on former London Country Green Line vehicles however a small number of those rebodied started life with other operators.

A42SMA was new to Crosville in 1983 and was rebodied by East Lancs to the order of Midland Red North in 1992 and is seen here having just negotiated the road works South of Trewern on the A458 Shrewsbury bound on the D75 service. At this time 1742 was in the Midland Red retro livery which unfortunately did not stand the test of time and whilst looking smart on application soon faded.
