The first Red River Carts were constructed by the Metis in the early 1800's from wood, rawhide and sinew. They could transport heavy loads of furs to the Fur Traders. These carts were drawn by horse or by oxen.

What I believe to be a light juvenile red-tailed hawk shrieking loudly as it circled the trees by Mill Pond. Playing around with birds in flight with the Nikon Z8. I don't think I will be getting rid of my faithful D850 any time soon.

Red-necked Stint (Calidris ruficollis). This little wader only weighs ~25-30 g, and despite their small size, they complete an incredible ~25,000 km migration every year, travelling between their breeding grounds in the arctic (e.g. north-eastern Siberia), to feeding grounds in Australia.

I finally did a Little Red Riding Hood shoot!! :D I had been excited about it for the longest of times and finally found a friend to model for me (she did amazing, btw). this is the one shot that turned out the best, I think :) we had so many people watching, haha. it was a rainy day yesterday and for some reason hundreds of people were passing the woods we were in by bike, some of them stopped and took pictures of us taking pictures. I didn't really mind, though. I've been out with my camera almost every day lately, now that I have finally some time. oddly enough, I've stepped into stinging nettle, have been bitten by mosquitos and red ants and have basically bruises over my feet and arms, haha. I've been immensely inspired by fairy tales lately and have some more shoots planned, that should be fun.
