Just a wee picture of a Red Hot poker bush in my garden. The Poker's are just blossoming now so will be at their peak in a day or two I would say so will take more...hopefully. Lovely when in bloom but unfortunately don't bloom too long : ((

finally I got my red parasol shot, too! A popular motive, seen sometimes here on flickr - has always been the subject of my admiration.
Actually, they are very red and after seeing it for a while during processing, I felt, I needed to see something else.

Magestic and definitely red. This is the India Red Fort in Delhi, India. Beautiful day for a tour there, it was very hot, but the sky was a brilliant blue that day.

Quiet and unobtrusive little birds which spend a lot of time on the ground eating grass seeds in small groups. When disturbed they fly up into a nearby tree until danger passes.

This is a new species for my prairie wildlife species collection, the 121st bird species I've photographed in my local city park. Red-breasted nuthatches are one of several birds of the northern forest that are classified as "irruptive", meaning they move into Kansas in large numbers in some years but are virtually absent in others.

And now a bunch of red tulips, which are my favourites though for choice I'd have them a shade deeper than these. As Valentine's Day approaches, the red ones vanish, held back so they can be put into extra-large bouquets...
