These handmade red bricks were all produced by convict labour for the 1838 construction of the third most historic bridge in Tasmania. They still make a lovely sight all these years later. Here is another infrared view of the bridge:

Like everything Red Wattlebird's do, even nest building is a high speed operation.

The smallest rose bush in the garden produces wonderful red roses. Only about 4-5 flowers a year. I might move it and see what happens.

The red rump is not so evident in this shot, but if you look hard you will see some little patches of red at the lower back of the bird.
Photo of a red parking meter, taken somewhere along Travis Street, in downtown Houston Texas. Photo was taken Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2021. I had joined up with a group of photographers to take a walking tour of downtown Houston Texas, to take advantage of the lack of traffic. Makes it easier to take photos while standing in the street! Photo was taken with a Canon EOS 80D, with a EF-S 18-135 lens. Post-processing was done using Canon Digital Photo Professional 4.

The red-crested cardinal is a songbird, the species belonging to the family of the tanagers Notwithstanding its similar name, this bird is not closely related to the true cardinal family.Adult males and females look similar. Adult birds have a red head, crest and upper breast, a silver-grey bill and dark legs. The red-crested cardinal is common in the lowlands of the main Hawaiian islands. Native to South America, it was introduced to Oahu around 1930.
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment and fave my images. Enjoy the day.

Adult Red Knot in breeding plumage - New Jersey, USA
As I’ve mentioned before, I spent a lot of time in 2020 exploring new places in New Jersey to find birds. During the peak of spring shorebird migration, I’ve made few trips all the way down to Delaware Bay to find Red Knots in their full alternate plumage. I can’t wait to come back there again this season
Never stop exploring!!!
Thank you all for kind comments!

Photographed in my yard, Yakima County, Washington. I don't see Red-breasted Nuthatches often in my yard. This is the first one this year. Notice the sunflower seed in his/her beak.

The color red symbolizes intense situations and emotions but at the same time it indicates warning and danger.
My red sky is a sky which reflects strong human emotions, covering them like a blanket and thus giving a sense of safety and hope.
Danger, longing, visualization, power, love, pain, balance, joy:
eight human moments under the red sky.
This is my new work and I m very proud to exhibit it

No doubt these birds are the most striking cormorants I have come across. They were spotted preening on a pier in Castro, Chiloe Island which I understand is the southern most extremity of there range. These birds can be found right down the west coast of South American from Peru to Chiloe Island and for some reason a small population also exists on the east coast of the continent around Santa Cruz, Argentina.
