The scarlet-headed flowerpecker (Dicaeum trochileum) is a bird species in the family of Dicaeidae. It is a species endemic to Indonesia.
Red squirrels can be very difficult subjects to photograph, but also very cute subjects when they stop and pause

Red-necked Grebe (Podiceps grisegena) readjusting the layout of the floating nest after rolling the egg to ensure uniform heating of it during incubation.
This nest was one of several on the urban wetland complex south of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Red-rumped Parrot.
Psephotus haematonotus.
A medium sized but slender parrot the male Red-rumped parrot is bright green with a blue-green head, a red rump with yellow shoulders and belly.
Like many species of birds the female has duller olive green colourings with a green rump and dull yellow or light green on the belly.
At their fledging stage of life the young parrots the colouring of the young birds is always a dull colour.
Mating for life it is the female who chooses and prepared the nesting site which is generally in a hollow and aging eucalypt tree.
Once the eggs are laid which generally occurs on a rotting wooden bed in the nest the female will incubate the eggs during which time the male ensures that the female is fed.
