While up in Ardnamurchan I'd heard about some areas not far from me that were supposedly good for spotting Red Deer. So I had a few trips out to go looking for them. Sure enough, they were there, and the scenery was stunning...

Red Sprites on 01.02.2021, over the thunderstorms of the E. Aegean sea. One can observe the parent lightning's flash below the sprite. I've used a Sigma 20 mm lens at f/1.4 with 20k iso. On the one hand, this winter sketch reminds me of the colors and patterns of Ukrainian embroidered shirts, where each color has its own meaning, on the other hand, in this delicacy and graphicness, I feel Japanese notes. I like this multicultural idea in one piece of art.

Found this beautiful fox in Denali National Park. The fox came out of the fall folliage onto a gravel pad with its nose to the ground. I was standing about 30 feet from the fox and it walked to within 10 to 15 feet of me.

Fox hunt red squirrels, arctic ground squirrels, voles, snowshoe hares, bird eggs, carrion, birds, muskrats and even eat vegitation when prey is scarce.

Red fox can be found throughout Alaska.

The smallest rose bush in the garden produces wonderful red roses. Only about 4-5 flowers a year. I might move it and see what happens.

I've really struggled with deer photos this year. Always good light and no deer, or good deer and no light. But I really like this series, captured after sunset.

I really like silhouettes - especially of deer. And I particularly like the image of it calling - a classic sight for this time of year.

The Red Apple (KCAP Architecten & Jan des Bouvrie) straight up. Apart from the verticalism, a prominent design feature of the Red Apple is the red aluminium 'misaligned with tonal variances' facade cladding.
