I just found this photo while looking for a specific one from a while back. I didn't even know I had it. I think it is now my favorite red fox photo.
Taken at Lake Ellesmere. They are just beginning to put on their breeding colours.
Breeds in north-eastern Siberia and (more rarely) in north-west Alaska; migrates to south-east Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Stints are the smallest of the migratory waders – barely the size of a sparrow. The red-necked stint is the only stint species to regularly occur in New Zealand, with up to 200 spending the southern summer here each year. They are most often seen at high-tide roosts associating with other small waders, especially wrybills, and other sandpipers.
SUNSET - Key West Harbor - Key West 2020
Key West, Florida - The Florida Keys - 12/3/20
*[left-double-click for a closer-look - touch of red]
*[sunset in the middle of the ocean - a beautiful thing]
*[I know the sky looks a little busy...but that is exactly
how it was...a lot going on! Exciting! Thanks for looking]
Every sunset is different, because every day; sun
is different, clouds are different, space is different,
reflections are different....mountains are different,
fogs are different, and above all, we are different.
― Mehmet Murat ildan
Sunsets are proof that no matter what
happens...every day can end beautifully.

A last minute trip to Cumbria yesterday and was greeted to a sprinkling of snow - lovely to spend the morning with these Red Squirrels :)
Small red beads and their reflections :)
Smile on Saturday - theme: "Reflection on white" :)
Maybe it's not very good photo, but the theme was difficult for me, so I'm glad that I made it anyway :)
Along the scenic drive in the Capitol Reef National Park, don't pass up the stop at the Slick Rock Divide. One gets great views along the winding once-underwater reef in this now high desert, ambling over this terrain as you wish. This is from Spring, 2023.
Incoming Red-Headed Woodpecker :) Would have liked a quicker shutter speed but didn't have time to change it.

This composite is a single hawk that flew overhead. I think it is a Red-tailed hawk dark morf but if someone knows better, please correct me.
