Found this beautiful fox in Denali National Park. The fox came out of the fall folliage onto a gravel pad with its nose to the ground. I was standing about 30 feet from the fox and it walked to within 10 to 15 feet of me.

This may not be the best RSH image. The mid-day light is harsh and from a bad direction, the scene is cluttered with small branches and it's a plain blue sky background. The cool thing, at least for me, is that this image was shot in my front yard!

Even better, this is half of a mated pair and they have a nest site right across the street from me :-O

It's going to be great watching them during the next several weeks and months.

Very inquisitive little red Squirrels

these are found at the British Wildlife centre near Lingfield in Surrey... always on the lookout for nuts to hide away

Since I didn't shoot my image earlier, I decided to go back to a fall favorite - leaves on the line. Today, I spent the morning walking with family at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser walk on Team Fighterz to support my cousin who has metastatic breast cancer. Luckily she was feeling well enough and could participate by riding on her scooter. If anyone wants to donate to our team, let me know and I can send the link. Keep up on your screenings, it's best to be vigilant.

I went down to London a few weeks ago so went to check a spot I know to see what the foxes were like. To my amazement this female came running right up to me (I'd not seen her since 2019). An evening well spent as far as I'm concerned. :)

Red-tailed Hawks are part of the family Accipitridae, which includes 224 species of hawks, eagles, vultures, harriers, and kites.

“There’s a superstition among falconers that a hawk’s ability is inversely proportional to the ferocity of its name. Call a hawk Tiddles and it will be a formidable hunter; call it Spitfire or Slayer and it will probably refuse to fly at all.” – Helen Macdonald

A crossbill in typical habitat. This bird feeds almost exclusively on the seeds from pine cones. A rarity in OK. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

A trip out to the Chilterns in Oxfordshire to photograph Red Kites with a couple of my photo buddies. We just happened to pick the hottest day in 2020 with no clouds in the sky.
