Here we see Nohab diesel locomotive M61.001 working the late running 14:47 service from Tapolca to Balatonfuered on the afternoon of the 27/8/23 as part of the Nostalgia weekend where historic engines work normal passenger trains. With all the excitement beside me, I unfortunately misjudged the shot by chopping part of it off - whoops.
A brand new spot for lineside photography at the time of taking this image. Here we see OBB locomotive 1144 070 propelling a UID Cityshuttle set towards Fieberbrunn and beyond on the morning of the 15/2/25.
At the time this train passed, there were no booked passenger trains due, so can only assume this was an empty stock movement because I saw the same set a few hours earlier going in the opposite direction.
The train was captured passing through Oberndorf, Austria.

On the afternoon of the 3/2/15 SBB CFF FFS cargo loco's 484012 and 484011 pass through the middle section of Wassen heading towards Italy on a container train. The Indian Pacific is an Australian passenger rail service that operates between Sydney, on the Pacific Ocean, and Perth, on the Indian Ocean. It is one of the few truly transcontinental trains in the world. The train first ran in February 1970 after the completion of gauge conversion projects in South and Western Australia.
The train's route includes the world's longest straight stretch of railway track, a 478-kilometre (297 mi) stretch of the Trans-Australian Railway over the Nullarbor Plain.
The service was originally operated jointly by the Department of Railways New South Wales, South Australian Railways, Commonwealth Railways and Western Australian Government Railways, until February 1993 when Australian National took full ownership. In October 1997, the Indian Pacific was sold to Great Southern Rail.
A one-way trip takes between 70.5 and 75 hours, depending on scheduling and daylight saving periods. The train currently has two classes, branded as Platinum and Gold Service. A motorail service conveys passengers' motor vehicles between Adelaide and Perth.

"Thirlmere Railway Station has local significance for the evidence it provides of the pattern of early settlement and development in the area, having served as an important transport facility since the early 1880s. It also has historic and aesthetic significance as a typical example of the standard wayside station buildings erected in country centres throughout the State during the latter part of the 19th century. It is the station building of its type in the shire and only one of a few remaining in the Sydney region, this significance being enhanced by the degree to which the building group has retained much of its original character, fabric and features. The site also makes an important contribution to the historic architectural character of the town as a whole and is an essential component of the historic cultural landscape of Thirlmere"
