"The FP paybuses were a series of thirteen small 4 wheel railbuses built for the Department of Railways New South Wales between 1937 and 1970. The rail buses were intended for use on branch lines whose low passenger numbers did not warrant the use of a larger railmotor.

In April 1970 FP7 was stripped internally and fitted with carpet on the walls and floor and movable chairs installed as well as being repainted externally. This so it could carry Queen Elizabeth II and her party between Coffs Harbour Jetty and Coffs Harbour station. After this use the FP7 was returned to its original condition, excepting that the carpet was kept on the floor.

A new spot for lineside photography, which I originally saw from a train journey whilst enroute from Breclav to Prague and thought to myself there must a shot here. Did some research, turns out its a well photographed location.
Here we see privately owned locomotive 110 021 nicknamed "Iron" hauling some heritage vehicles, which look like they have had better days heading towards Kolin (CZ) on the evening of the 7/9/23. The train was captured passing through Tynec Nad Labem on the River Elbe.
Unfortunately there was a very moderate breeze on the day in question, which meant the River Elbe was not calm or reflective.

High Speed Train - Welwyn North Station - East Coast Mainline
Just remembered that I took these photos few months back and just got round to processing them. I have spotted this view point everytime I travel up and down the ECML. I like the view here looking down the East Coast Mainline towards Welwyn North, Digswell Viaduct and in the far distant Welwyn Garden City station The intention was always to do a fake tilt-shift image from this view point and I hope this has come out OK, let me know what you think as I am open to constructive criticism. The fake tilt shift was achieved all in Lightroom 3.
I was trying to time it where two trains were actually in the platforms at the same time but after being there for just over and hour and half, no luck, oh well, can't win them all!

Information
The InterCity 125 was the brand name of British Rail's High Speed Train (HST) fleet. The InterCity 125 train is made up of two power cars, one at each end of a fixed formation of Mark 3 carriages, and is capable of 125 mph (201 km/h), making the train the fastest diesel-powered locomotive in regular service in the world. Initially the sets were classified as Classes 253 and 254. A variant of the power cars operates in Australia as part of the XPT.
After three decades, the majority of the HST fleet is still in front-line revenue service under privatisation, and while the InterCity 125 brand name is rarely mentioned officially by the private Train Operating Companies (TOCs), the HST still forms the backbone of express services on several British main lines. Most are expected to be replaced within the next 10 years by the InterCity Express (IEP) programme, but a number will continue in use on London to Devon/Cornwall services, where there are no plans to electrify the lines. Engineers from the companies responsible have calculated that, with a certain amount of rewiring, the BR MkIII carriages used can be made to last until at least 2035.
A brand new spot for lineside photography at the time of taking this image. Here we see the rare sight of Freightliner locomotive 66501 hauling 90018, 70008, 57604 and 59201 (in that order) as 0M90 from Eastleigh to Derby Litchurch Lane on the afternoon of the 30/7/25.
The convoy were captured south of Hatton station just before 0M90 entered the loop where they were held for around 45 minutes. In addition, the convoy of engines were all enroute to the "Greatest Gathering" taking place in Derby on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd August 2025 as part of Rail 200.
Note the class 90 had been at Eastleigh for painting and has been outshopped in a special 60th Annversary colourscheme. The locomotive has new nameplates too, but these were covered over.
The original planned shot was spoilt by the sun coming out (ironic) which was not forecasted, therefore needed a plan B. This resulted in a restricted view of the entire consist from another vantage point.

The railway station precinct has historical association, aesthetic, research, social, research and representative significance. The station building and stationmaster's residence are very significant civic buildings and important townscape elements in understanding the political and economic development of Uralla.
Development of the railway system has a historical association with the development of local, regional and national economies. Construction of the railway line and associated buildings was part of the expansion of railways throughout the 1880s and 1890s. This part of the northern line was a result of the work of John Whitton, Engineer-in-Chief for Railways and the contractors, the Amos Bros. The structure and layout of the line has undergone little change since the early 1880s.
The architecture of the railway station and station master's residence are interesting examples of railway architectural style of the 1880s.
Social significance arises from the use of the railway as a system of carrying passengers and varied goods. It was a meeting place for railway workers, horse and vehicle carriers, farmers and travellers as they waited for trains to arrive and goods to be unloaded.
The station precinct has historical and archaeological research potential. The main shed has been demolished and is a potential archaeological site.
The Uralla railway station is part of a group of mid Victorian stations built on the main northern line between Tamworth and the border that represents the most intact group of buildings in the state dating from the late 1870s. The residence is an excellent example of a residence built for the station master with an entrance forecourt. There is a similar example at Armidale.
The Uralla Railway Station group is representative of the economic rationalist approach developed by the state government in the 1980s as stations were closed, infra-structure demolished and station master's residences sold off.

The ACTARHS transfer train made a stunning sight as it departed Goulburn yard this morning enroute to Orange.

Broken Hill Trip - Day 4
The iconic "Indian Pacific", being hauled by Pacific National loco NR29 with G530, arriving into Broken Hill, Outback NSW Australia, from Sydney at 6am 28 June 2018 on its way to Perth WA. Passengers disembark for a choice of 3 off-train excursions to local galleries or similar for approx 2 hours before continuing on westward towards Perth, Western Australia.
"The Indian Pacific is an Australian passenger rail service that operates between Sydney, on the Pacific Ocean, and Perth, on the Indian Ocean. It is one of the few truly transcontinental trains in the world. The train first ran in February 1970 after the completion of gauge conversion projects in South and Western Australia.
The train's route includes the world's longest straight stretch of railway track, a 478-kilometre (297 mi) stretch of the Trans-Australian Railway over the Nullarbor Plain.
The service was originally operated jointly by the New South Wales Government Railways, South Australian Railways, Commonwealth Railways and Western Australian Government Railways, until February 1993 when Australian National took full ownership. In October 1997, the Indian Pacific was sold to Great Southern Rail.
A one-way trip takes between 70.5 and 75 hours, depending on scheduling and daylight saving periods. The train currently has two classes, branded as Platinum and Gold Service. A motorail service conveys passengers' motor vehicles between Adelaide and Perth."
