Here we see Colas Rail Freight locomotive 70801 rounding the curve north of Crawford at lunchtime on the 2/9/21 with the 10:15 service from the Port of Workington to Aberdeen Waterloo.
Unfortunately 4M01 passed with 66724 just out of shot running nearly 4hrs early at the same time as 6S48 passed, so had to make do with an earlier position of the train instead of snapping it further forward :-(
Here we see RhB xrot 9213 steam snowplough with Gem4/4 locomotive 802 pausing on the small bridge crossing the valley as part of a special running day on the morning of the 24/2/19. For info, 802 was providing extra power from rear for the "beast", but in diesel mode as oppose to electric.
Today's 6MW2 steel train was anything but. Hauling only containers and a string of empty flat wagons, it was the locomotive combination that caught the eye.
Continuing with the stored locomotive transfers from Melbourne's Dynon depot to NSW, today's train featured DL45 and the historic bulldog S306. Add 8256 as a banker engine, and it was a sensation combination of modern and heritage horsepower.
After waiting for 6 hours for an Italian bound freight train, this one turned up - the usual intermodal traffic were nowhere to be seen on the day in question. Here we see OBB locomotives 1116 280 (front) and 1016 037 (rear) start to make the climb towards Bad Gastein and beyond as the sun was going down behind the mountains.
BLS brownie Re4/4 loco no.192 arrives into Kandersteg on the morning of the 24/8/17 with the 10:50 car shuttle service from Goppenstein.(27520)

First time of trying this shot in the Czech Republic - here we see CD Cargo locomotive 363045 passing through Usti nad Labem Strekov with a loaded freight in the nick of time for the falling sun on the evening of the 5/9/23.
RhB Allegra unit 3513 was captured in Ospizio Bernina on the cold sunny morning of the 28/12/16 with the 09:48 St Moritz to Poschiavo service.

With the evening sun fading fast, we see 66118 working 4M30 from Mossend to Daventry in Hardendale near Shap in Cumbria on the evening of the 8/4/17
On a cold and frosty morning we see an LNER Azuma 800 113 passing through Abington southbound on the WCML with the diverted 1E13 from Edinburgh to London Kings Cross.

Westfriedhof U-Bahn Station, Munich, Germany
You wouldn't believe how many times I have seen this station on Flickr and thought that I must go there! For those who know me and follow my work I do have a little soft spot for Underground stations and Westfriedhof didn't fail to impress. It was high on my list of places to visit during my time to Munich. Those orb like lamps you see in the picture look fairly smaller but trust me seeing them in real life they are massive.
Massive thanks to Joe@Plasmatico for his suggestions on some stations to visit. Joe is the grand master of the Munich U-Bahn stations and has taken some awesome photos of the stations. Be sure to check out his photos over on 500px.
Its quite refreshing to see colour like this in an Underground station, makes the space feel a lot open and welcoming to people who use the tube system. I wish some of the London Underground stations would take note of the Munich U-Bahn system.
These lamps from what I read were a later addition to the station, maybe this station was dark and gloomy before so they installed these and wow what a transformation.
Probably this station and Marienplatz (soon to be uploaded) were my favourites of the Munich U-Bahn system.

Location Information
Westfriedhof is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1 line of the Munich U-Bahn system, it opened on 24 May 1998, the extension onwards to Georg-Brauchle-Ring was completed in 2003. 11 large lamps measuring 3.80 metres in diameter were installed in 2001 and bathe the station in blue, red and yellow light.
The station is also served by routes Munich tramway and Munich tramway of the Munich tramway, and is the terminus of the latter route.

From the archives - here we see Greater Anglia locomotive 90012 propelling the 13:30 service from London Liverpool Street to Norwich (1P32) on the afternoon of the 29/3/14, which was captured in Brantham, Suffolk.
Looking at home on the WCML, here we see a pair of diverted LNER IEP Azumas, which were captured passing through Abington on the morning of the 26/9/20. The units were 800112 (front) and 800208 (rear).
Unfortunately, I did not record the train ID, but presume it was a early morning service from Doncaster to Edinburgh (will try and find out exact train ID).
With snow coverage being extremely poor during the 2022-2023 winter season, this location was just a handful of places which had some of the white stuff in Austria.
Anyway, running on-time in dull conditions, here we see privately owned locomotives 111057 (front) and 111223 (rear) pass through Windau with the 14:40 Snälltåget ski train from Malmo to Innsbruck on the bitterly cold afternoon of the 11/2/23. The train had travelled overnight from Malmo via Germany and Austria to reach this location.

A cute little working - here we see LZK privately owned diesel locomotive 701642 hauling a single carriage towards Ceska Trebova station on the afternoon of the 9/9/23. The locomotive is usually based at Rokytnice v Orlických horách. No other details known for this little engine or heritage rolling stock.
Classic shot - here we see BLS loco's 186109 & 486504 passing through Einigen whilst working train 40379 from Gent Sint Pieters to Mortara on the afternoon of the 25/8/17.
Here we see CD locomotive 151 014 with a colourful composition working the 12:04 service from Praha hl.n to Zilina on the hot afternoon of the 9/9/23. The train was captured passing through Parnik on the outskirts of Ceska Trebova.
** For information, at the time of posting this image, EC143 is no longer worked by the iconic 151 locomotives - they have gone over to Vectrons like most of the Czech Republic :-(
A new spot for lineside photography, which was hampered by flooding for the entire day in addition to many cancelled trains.
With the sun having dipped below the horizon 5 minutes earlier, here we see DRS locomotive 68015 on hire to Chiltern Railways working the 17:00 London Marylebone to Kidderminster (1K38) service at dusk on the 19/3/22.
Now that the clocks have gone forward, this shot will be in the sun now assuming it pops out to play.
**NEW YEARS DAY 2023**
A trial shot to see if one would work at this new location, which I came across by chance on the 1/1/23. Here we see OBB locomotive 1144 261 working IC533 from Wien HBF to Lienz in Osttirol on the morning of the 1/1/23. The train was captured in Eichberg on the Semmeringbahn.

Candidplatz U-Bahn Station, Munich, Germany
This is another U-bahn station that I managed to capture during my time in Munich. Candidpltaz is certainly bold and in your face but I really like it.
Again, a generally very quiet station between trains which allowed me to have a little bit more time to compose. I little bit disappointing they are refurbishing the paintwork on the wall hence the white squares you can see all over the place, although this may annoy a few photographers (generally it would normally me) I still felt inclined to get the photo considering I had made the effort to visit the station and am glad I did now looking at this image.

Candidplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1 line of the Munich U-Bahn system.
A brand new spot for lineside photography at the time of taking this image. Here we see OB Taurus locomotive hauling an engineers train towards Radstat and beyond on the afternoon of the 22/2/25. The train was captured passing through Haus In Ennstal.
Here we see TX Logistik locomotive 193558 (front) and 193281 (rear) pass through a very snowy and cold St Jodok on the afternoon of the 16/2/22 with a loaded intermodal bound for Brenner and beyond.
Due to Storm Eunice hitting the Alps, which remained in the Alps for an entire week, it was time to move eastwards where the forecast was expected to be sunnier.
Here we see a GySev Cargo Vectron 193235 passing through a stormy Szar, Hungary with a loaded intermodal on the afternoon of the special date of the 22/2/22 enroute towards Tatabanya and beyond.
Another cold morning and an early start to reach this spot. Here we see 193775 (front) and 189914 (rear) passing through Dorfgastein on the very cold morning of the 5/2/19 with train 41851 Krefeld-Uerdingen to Trieste Campo Marzio.
OBB class 1144 092 was captured in Schwarzach St-Veit depot on the evening of the 12/8/17 just before the sun was lost for the rest of the day.
Here we see TX Logistik locomotive 193556 (front) and 193647 (rear) pass through Wolf on the morning of the 16/2/22 with a loaded intermodal enroute to Brenner and beyond.
Precisamente es el 070R el que se ausenta en la foto, casualidades... La 319.253 es la encargada de maniobrar con el coche motor 446.139M, mientras el 140M observa detenidamente la maniobra.
Últimamente están pasando R a unas cuantas 446 en el taller de Sevilla Santa Justa, y esta vez le ha tocado a la 70, que yace medio desmontada por las playas... de vías... de Sevilla.
El invitado de ocasión lleva siéndolo ya bastantes meses, el tren-tram de Cádiz, que no se cómo verá su futuro.

This is photo from my archive - 2007. This is the photo that I never ever upload before, I did it without any experience with my old digital camera Olympus C170. I never liked it because of strange color reflection on few places (on few places it look white like somebody delete parts).
I edit it in sepia and than decide to upload it for first time on Flickr. I think scene is interesting ??? I like the location, it have apocalyptic look. I was lucky because I work there as security so this scene cost me 0 $ :o). I think this sepia version have more serious look than color version.
On the photo we can see one of NATO exercise Idassa from 2007. The Exercise “Idassa 2007” is a Croatian contribution in the framework of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC). The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA) also participated in the exercise.

Here we see 460110 working an SBB passenger service through the suburbs of Gossau on the evening of the 31/8/16 working the 15:15 from Lausanne to St Gallen
Catching me off guard, so not my best shot, here we see electric snowplough Xtrote3983 coupled to heritage unit 3061 on the afternoon of the 7/2/22.
Northern unit 319381 heads south on the WCML through Euxton Junction with the 15:05 Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime Street (1F01) on the afternoon of the 14/9/19. At the time of uploading this image (January 2020), these services were largely being worked by class 331s instead of 319s.
Here we see MVV locomotive 610 002 hauling a set of grain wagons and SZDS locomotive 242 250 through Debrecen Hajdú-Bihar on the very hot afternoon of the 19/8/24 enroute towards Debrecen and beyond.

An artistic "going away" image of RhB Ge4/4iii locomotive 642 in its new advertising livery sandwiched in the middle of the 10:02 from Davos Platz to Landquart service on Boxing Day morning. The purpose of this image was to capture the train with the cow sheds and village church on the hillside within the same shot.
Here we see 321437 & 321364 cross the estuary at Cattawade, Manningtree on the afternoon of the 17/6/17 with the 15:02 Liverpool Street to Ipswich service
Here we see SBB Re6/6 loco 620 024 working the 06:45 special charter from Luino to St Gallen in snowy conditions on the morning of the 17/12/17 passing through Steinen in Switzerland.
