Originaly I thought it was a victim of a heteropteran predator but the massive bulk of the body, which was a least double that of other aphids sharing the same plant, caused me to wonder if the excessive bulk was from housing an internal parasitoid which then eat its way out.
Any ideas welcome
Aphidius (a genus of aphid parasitic wasps) I believe to be the culprit from other pictures that I have seen. The hole being the exit hole of the adult wasp.

In honor of black History Month, Portland Prime hosted an evening with Author Dr. Michael Eric Dyson on February 22nd, 2016 at 5:30 pm.
Dr. Dyson gave a speech and answered questions from the audience.
The night also honored David Lattin, a member of the 1969 Texas Western Miner’s basketball team. Mr. Lattin was on the first all African - American team to win a NCAA championship defeating Kentucky team coached by Adolph Rupp and guard Pat Riley. The movie Glory Road is based on this historic time.

Bastiaan shows his interest in Planet Gender during the first Dutch Transgender conference (T3) in Amsterdam in the beginning of November 2004. A week later I ring his doorbell with croissants in my hands. From his attic apartment Bastiaan tells us parts of his life story. As far as I'm concerned he is a guy, although Bastiaan doesn't commit himself to either side. Sometimes people address him as 'sir', or sometimes as 'miss', but it doesn’t bother him. At work, however, he needs to present a clear profile. Bastiaan: "As a social worker I shouldn't focus on myself, but on the problems of the people that I help."

Please mark your calendars! We have confirmed Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine, as the day and time we clean up the stream in the section between Merritt Boulevard and Plainfield Road (next to Merritt Manor Shopping Center). We will be meeting at 2408 Plainfield Road in Dundalk. ANY time you can give to helping us out is more than appreciated
Our cleanups are part of an ongoing effort clean the entire stream by 2014 in preparation for the War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebration. (Bread and Cheese Creek has been noted as one of the possible highlighted location on the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail) The creek played a rather significant part in the Battle of North Point which took place on September 12, 1814. Both the American and British Troops camped along its banks. It is rumored that the young heroes Daniel Wells (19) and Henry McComas (18) used the stream channel to sneak up on British General Robert Ross killing him with their muskets before being killed in return fire. This important part of our history should not be left the eyesore it currently is.
Remember, there plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We will need every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the Clean Up. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we can use people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to work the grills as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. Please feel free to pass this information on to other who might be interesting in helping as well. As my grandfather always said, “Many hands makes the work light”. We run our cleanups as a family event with all age groups welcome by developing plenty of ways for volunteers to participate.

As the state election’s getting closer and the politicians are jostling for your vote, we thought it was high time to find out who’s standing up for our environment.
So we gathered curious Victorians on Thursday, 18 November at the Melbourne Town Hall to ask the big questions of the main political players just nine days out from the state election.
The night featured the Minister for the Environment, the Hon Gavin Jennings, the Shadow Minister for the Environment, the Hon Mary Wooldridge, and Greens MP, the Hon Greg Barber.
They were joined by a panel of environmental experts, including our very own CEO, Kelly O’Shanassy, Matt Ruchel from Victorian National Parks Association and comedian Claire Hooper from Good News Week who made the evening just a little fun. In addition the Q&A was facilitated by a man who sure knows his stuff - Adam Morton, Chief Environment Reporter for The Age Newspaper.

I was thinking about my life and I realised that I have explanations for why people act the way they do... because I've acted the same way. And because I know why they act that way I don't feel hurt or angered by their actions. I simply respond in the way I know they want me to respond. It's pure interactionalism.
But then I don't really like knowing why people do things or reading actions like I do. Because it means I know the motives of my own actions before I do them... and that makes me feel fake. Like I know how to do things to make people think something about me, and I'm think I've confused my actual feelings with what I want people to think my feelings are.
I need to figure myself out.

The Boston Navy Yard, originally called the Charlestown Navy Yard and later Boston Naval Shipyard, was one of the oldest shipbuilding facilities in the United States Navy. It was established in 1801 as part of the recent establishment of the new U.S. Department of the Navy in 1798. After 175 years of military service, it was decommissioned as a naval installation on 1 July 1974.
The 30-acre (12 ha) property is administered by the National Park Service, becoming part of Boston National Historical Park. Enough of the yard remains in operation to support the moored USS Constitution ("Old Ironsides") of 1797, built as one of the original six heavy frigates for the revived American navy, and the oldest warship still commissioned in the United States Navy and afloat in the world. USS Cassin Young (DD-793), a 1943 World War II-era Fletcher-class destroyer serving as a museum ship, is also berthed here. The museum area includes a dock which is a stop on the MBTA Boat water transport system. Among local people in the area and the National Park Service, it is still known as the Charlestown Navy Yard.
The South Boston Naval Annex was located along the waterfront in South Boston, an annex of the Navy Yard from 1920 to 1974. Other annexes of the Navy Yard during World War II were the Chelsea Naval Annex (formerly the Green Shipyard, now the Fitzgerald Shipyard), East Boston Naval Annex, and Boston Naval Yard Fuel Depot Annex.

About the Charlestown Navy Yard
The Charlestown Navy Yard built, repaired, modernized, and resupplied ships for 174 years. From here, ships and their sailors set off to places around the globe. Operationally and technologically, the Yard saw constant transformation and acted as a hub of innovation. When the Charlestown Navy Yard opened in 1800, it serviced wooden sailing ships and employed tradesmen such as carpenters, ropemakers, and ship riggers. When it closed in 1974, the Yard had welders, electricians, machinists, ironworkers, pipefitters, and engineers. Throughout the operation of the Navy Yard, generations of civilian workers took pride in their work and service to the country.
Today, explore the heart of the original Navy Yard. Visit the Charlestown Navy Yard Visitor Center where there are park staff available to answer questions, interactive exhibits, and public restrooms. Walk the decks of two historic warships that call the Navy Yard home: the undefeated sailing frigate USS Constitution and the 20th century Fletcher class destroyer USS Cassin Young.
