On Hem Mishra's Arrest: AISA pamphlet dated 05.09.2013 selectively quotes from a newspaper report to level .
baseless allegations against the outgoing JNUSU President and DSF on the arrest of Hem Mishra. The Indian Express report of August 25, 2013 says the following: .
JNU students' union president V Lenin Kumar said the issue of Mishra being a 'Maoist courier' is debatable and the union will take a decision only after there is more clarity. "I have been on JNU campus since 2007 and 1 have never heard of any such activity on the campus," Lenin said. .
Because of its sectarian mindse~ AISA has deliberately distorted and misinterpreted this statement. The DSF councilor from SSS and DSF's Presidential candidate, lshan Anand had categorically articulated DSF's position in the SSS annual GBM: given the track record of security forces, the c'harges leveled against Hem Mishra do not seem credible. He further stated that the DSF was opposed to victimization and targeting of democratic/cultural activists and justice should be ensured for Hem Mishra. DSF pamphlet dated 04.09.2013 mentions: .
