Too old for ambulance chasing? No need if you're an on the nose politician and there's an election looming! The ambulances will chase you.
Every ambulance I've seen lately has a political message, a protest, scrawled on a window. This was the first one I saw, so I had to stop for a closer look!

Tout a commencé par une question simple : la musique peut-elle changer la vie des enfants des camps de réfugiés ? Nils Landgren, Magnum Coltrane Price et Dan Sermand, ainsi que le reste du groupe Funk Unit sont partis à Kibera (Kenya), l’un des plus grands bidonvilles africains pour y produire concerts et ateliers. Quatre d’entre eux viennent présenter l’album Funk for Life (ACT), enregistré en lien avec ce projet. Des percussions, des riffs agressifs, des cors explosifs, des voix – bref, du groove.
Originaly I thought it was a victim of a heteropteran predator but the massive bulk of the body, which was a least double that of other aphids sharing the same plant, caused me to wonder if the excessive bulk was from housing an internal parasitoid which then eat its way out.
Any ideas welcome
Aphidius (a genus of aphid parasitic wasps) I believe to be the culprit from other pictures that I have seen. The hole being the exit hole of the adult wasp.

Guimarães is often referred to as the "birthplace of the Portuguese nationality" or "the cradle city" (Cidade Berço in Portuguese). This might be because the administrative seat of the County of Portugal was established there by Henry of Burgundy, or that it might also been the birthplace of Afonso I of Portugal, the first Portuguese king or because of the historical role of the city in the Battle of São Mamede (June 24th, 1128), which had a tremendous importance in the formation of Portugal and was fought in the vicinity of the city.
Guimarães is one of the most important historical cities of the country. Its historical center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it one of the largest tourist centers in the region.
Since the days of Jason and the Argonauts, 9-banded long-nosed armadillos have been seafaring animals. Sailors are a superstitious lot and old salts would never consider going to sea without the ship’s armadillo anymore than without a compass. There’s even a special platform at the bow of most ships for an armadillo to stand, sniff the fresh sea air and yell out, “I’m king of the world!”
It is said that the Titanic and the Edmund Fitzgerald sank because their pursers forgot to bring aboard their armadillos. The Edmund Fitzgerald’s armadillo was ticked off that his boat left early and forgot him while he was drinking rum being served by Mandy at the port bar. All he could say afterwards was, “Lake Michigan it’s said, never gives up her dead.”
You can make fun of armadillos crossing the highway on a dark Texas night but you can’t question their ability to use a sextant and navigate by the stars as long as they have a good time source. Any ship’s navigator can verify this fact. They can also smell ice and can tell if there’s going to be bad weather. If an armadillo runs down below decks and rolls up into his shell, well Nancy, best secure the deck and get ready for a hell of a storm. It’s going to be a real Poseidon adventure.
On a perfect night with a full moon, and only a full moon, right after crossing the equator, an armadillo will sing. Armadillo song brings a tear to the eyes of even the oldest, most bitter grinch of a Chief Petty Officer. It is said that when an armadillo sings, it is the only time a Master Chief Petty Officer will put down his cup of coffee.
There are these half bird / half women creatures called sirens that exist on an island in the western sea between Aeaea and Scylla. They lure sailors to their death on the rocks by singing an irresistible song. A proficient Central Texas armadillo can save its ship by singing so brightly that the sirens shut the hell up long enough for the ship to get past the rocky shore. Armadillos get really pissed off if someone tries to crash their ships.

From the Projects to Prep School” is a highly acclaimed memoir that touches on issues of sexism, racism and educational inequality speaking during the question and answer session in the Strosacker Hall, Sandstone room.

This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.
