Did you know the dusty miller plant has both deer and insect-repelling properties? However, it can be toxic to pets. So you shouldn’t let your cat wander through it, even if it is the same color as the plant!
I couldn’t quite visualize the composition for this one, so I just painted. Not happy with it, but that’s how you learn. I should’ve posted it yesterday, but I’ve been posting so out of order, I set it up for the wrong day.

I tried and tried. This was the best Adobe Firefly and myself could do.
I just want to wish a fond, farewell to all my flickr friends. Looks like I 'm moving on to bigger and better things. I just got an email from the president of a large bank in Zimbabwe. I don't even know how he got my email address, but apparently this is my lucky day! It turns out that some very wealthy person there has died in a plane crash and has no heirs to leave the money to, so the bank has temporary custody of his millions of dollars, but they are not allowed to keep it. They just need someone in the United States to give the money to. All I needed to do was to wire them $3000 for processing fees, which obviously, I promptly did. So, now that the processing fees have been paid, I should be receiving a check for five million dollars sometime next week. I'm going to be quitting my job tomorrow, as I sit here and anxiously wait for the arrival of my check! This is so exciting!
Anyway... This was from Monument Valley, last month. It's the famous Mittens. Well... It's one of the Mittens, anyway. Not sure where the other Mitten went. I think it may have been out being repaired that day.

I found an old manual focus lens at a thrift shop. It was damaged, but going for only a few dollars, so I bought it. I took it home and down to my basement "hobby room" to see what I could do with it. Unfortunately it was beyond hope. However, it had a nice Hoya UV filter on it that would fit one of my other lenses. I took it off, promptly fumbled it, and dropped it on the cement floor, shattering it. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

The prompt today was "Upset". This is one of those prompts that really could work well for something like a portrait, if you could get the right expression especially if its candid. Unfortunately I rather avoid photographing people, not because I am opposed to it personally, in the past working in a studio some of my favorite photos that I have taken were of people. The truth is that when photographing people iʻm rather timid. Anyways my photo today was a sort of play on words using the prompt, it also gave me an opportunity to work with water which I always enjoy. So here is a "ʻUp"side down sunʻSetʻ" get it? *wink* *wink*
