Clear skies last night prompted a last minute trip down to the Quayside to grab this week's shot. The bridge lights up with a variety of colours, I went for the blue in honour of the theme!
PS There is a very handy website (www.bluehoursite.com/) which you can enter your location into and it will give you the times of the two blue hours (tip - for my locality I needed to add an hour for GMT+1).

I didn't think I'd have time to do this challenge but a perfect hoar frost prompted me to delay pre-vacation chores for an hour to zip to a local park and marvel at the sights. It was a bit cold to stay in exactly the one spot but I tried :)

Prompted by seeing a recent photograph of a Capuchin Monkey at Mato Grosso, Brazil, I decided to post some further images of my own encounter with these monkeys which are particularly gifted in their use of tools.
Capuchin Monkeys were given their name in the 15th century when Portugese explorers encountered them in the Americas and thougt their colouring and 'caps' of dark hair resembled the brown hoods worn by friars of Minor Capuchin.

A trip over to Nottingham today to see family prompted a stop off at Hartford on the return journey to bag this working. It needed 25,600 ISO to get a shutter speed short enough to avoid blur, and some pp to minimise the noise, but I think the result just about stands up to scrutiny......
In a heavy downpour and the last of the daylight, DRS unit 88004 'Pandora' speeds south through the station with the 3.49pm Garston Terminal - Dagenham Dock (6L48) loaded cars.
Having sussed out the snapping spot I returned back to shelter to keep me and the camera dry, and followed the train on the virtual signal diagram. When it got to Acton Bridge I nipped smartly down the platform to bag the shot - result, tolerable dampness. The cars on the train weren't so lucky.
