Not the rock band but a pair of dust-encrusted Kodak Ektagraphic-III slide projectors, not touched for at least three or four years.
These units, less surface dust, have since been consigned to surplus.

These photos came from an ad on Craigslist for a "Free Kodak Slide Projector" a couple years ago. I corresponded with the owner of the projector, and he told me that it was still available, and is 'first come, first served'.
He gave me his location, and I drove over in rush hour traffic. I arrived and he had the projector set up to show me that it was functioning properly. The owner of it was probably in his mid to late 80s.
I thanked him and as I was loading the projector into my car, he asked me if I wanted the trays. I said yes, and he told me to wait while he "throws out" his slides still in them.
I stopped him and asked "Isn't there someone in your family who'd want these?", he replied no. "I want them. I want to see your adventures from over the years. This kinda stuff is important to me." I promised him I'd put them and the projector to good use. So, as I promised...

This is of a projector in the middle of a film. Those bulbs are so bright and hot that if the film were to stop in front of them it'd melt in seconds.
