PENTACON AV 2.8/80

Flickr has been acting badly for me. People couldn't see my last image on their activity feed and I haven't been able to see everyones. I contacted Flickr people again and they said they are trying to help, but have had no word back saying it's fixed. There was no point in trying to do anything on here yesterday. So I thought I'd try again today, and so far, it looks as though it is visible :)

In case you can't tell, this is a craft knife with a red handle :) Shot with Pentacon AV 80mm f2.8 and 56mm extension tubes.

The knife is lying on silvery bubble wrap.

Since I 'acquired' my projector lens from the builder's rubbish yesterday I've managed to attach it to my camera using a piece of plastic waste pipe, a cut-down pill container, and an old m4/3 adaptor. Not only that I've got the container sliding inside the pipe to give me a bit of focusing - just a bit.

So to this week's theme.

The tulips in the flower tub outside the front door of the house have been quite spectacular. At least they would have made a wonderful show if they had all bloomed at the same time! Petals are now beginning to fall in the nasty little wind we have had in the last couple of days. This is a close-up of a part of just one of those petals laid out on my desk and illuminated with one main LED bulb and just a little general room light.

Focus wasn't easy and depth of field is wafer thin. The lens has no aperture blades so the photo has to be taken with the lens fully open.

At least I've tried and it's a bit different !!

Another test with the edar 100mm f/2,8 projector lens, not that sharp but making easily crazy light circles.
