This film projector stands in a hotel in Camagüey, Cuba and has been built in Dresden, Germany, in the year 1965.

Old school reflective movie projector.

Not the rock band but a pair of dust-encrusted Kodak Ektagraphic-III slide projectors, not touched for at least three or four years.

 

These units, less surface dust, have since been consigned to surplus.

Early Gaumont projector. First version of the Chrono VII appeared in the catalogue of 1900.

From 1904 some changes were made. The Chrono VIIb was made untill 1912.

Vintage diafilm projector, type 00651, made in Hungary around 1985

Over on the left of this shot the projector housing has been opened to show the twisting path of metal nodules through which the spooled celluloid makes its journey during the screening of the film. Also, see if you can spot the reflection of a photographer somewhere in a panel of glass ;-)

Putting herself in the doll house as a doll? servant? lady of the house? and because the projector is in front of the glass walled house there's a ghostly double image from the projector itself.

As I Went Out One Morning

Vintage projector lens, I held it away from the camera by hand to focus, too lazy to hook it up with a proper bellows. Nice lens.

I was cleaning out a shelf in the bedroom and dusted off these two Viewmaster projectors. On a whim I tried them out. One has to get a new bulb, but the other worked well and I ended up going through quite a number of slides and lost track of time.

 

Ahh. The VM really is a wonderous toy!!

 

These beautiful cinema projector lenses were on display at the Arclight Cinema store.
