Zeiss-Ikon Vario-Talon 70-120mm f3.5 is a one of a slide projector lenses of high esteem and considered to be a very creative artistic bokeh lens. And that seems to be accurate. Particularly when monted in inverse.
Pronounced glow and softness (at least of this one) adds to dreamy and quite vintage look.

Still experimenting with an old projector lens. Not having much luck - this is the best of the bunch - so any suggestion on how to use such a lens would be greatly appreciated.
Something a little different at Vivid (hard to do these days)! A handheld shot of the actual projectors when they are displaying block colours on the opera house. More than a dozen projectors erected on scaffold towers in front of the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay almost 500m away will beam their art across the water to light up the Opera House.
But the beauty of this year's Lighting of the Sails is more than skin-deep. As Roberts puts it: "Nothing gets programmed because it's pretty."
Songlines was devised by Roberts, the head of Indigenous programming at the Opera House, to reflect cultural knowledge and rites.
Honoring the the Lumière brothers, pioneers in filmmaking at the turn of the 20th Century.

Another test with the edar 100mm f/2,8 projector lens, not that sharp but making easily crazy light circles.
pieces of two broken projection lamp. these lamps use high voltage and operate at high temperature to provide very bright and powerfull light beam at a precise color temperature. they are also so delicate so you can't touch them directly, or hand's dirtiness could demage them.

Recently we went to Hakone Gardens, a beautiful Japanese garden in Saratoga, California. I took this shot at the plaza in front of the Lower House with a vintage slide projector lens, a German made Rodenstock Splendar 100mm f/2.8 lens.
I processed a realistic and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
