Kevin Lewiis has been working on the 50 year old Weststar Projector for the past fifteen years.

The district electrician mounted my projector and an outlet in the ceiling for me! I ran all the wires along the ceiling and down the side of the room, so there are no wires to get in the way.

Looking through some of my old files and folders I ran across this photo that I took a while back, but forgot about it. Would appreciate a little info about it. Iwas wondering what type of projector it is and what kind of "slides" it projected.

This strange item is on display in the cafe at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. There is no description of it but it is certainly an optical instrument of some type, possibly a projector for lantern slides. Set the aperture to f/2 to blur the background on a 30 mm prime lens.

My friend Matt (http://mcconnellstudios.com/) and I are building our own projectors... here's what was put together after a weekend of talking about the pros and cons to building one of these and what the best approaches would be to making one.

This is another shot of the Bell and Howell 625 standard 8 projector I got off Freecycle. I don't think I will ever use it as I have 2 better projectors but it makes a great ornament! The picture was taken using FxCamera on my HTC Magic and the photoshopped.
