I went on a walk in Golden Gate Park today. Near Stowe Lake I noticed two squirrels that seemed really brave. I help my hand out to them and this one actually put his two front feet in my hand and was sniffing it. Unfortunately when I reached into my pocket for my camera he backed off a little. I wish my hand weren't so blown out in this picture, but it was still too cool to not use as today's picture.

RIP:

Sean's stimming sofa.

He kind of killed it.

If you take off the cushions, you can see the springs underneath.

I won this hand at my family Christmas gift exchange. It's about time I use it.

Feeling a little better about greyscale.

Project365: 2011 - Day 05

1am, another night at my desk. I know that tomorrow is going to be hectic (today technically) so I snapped a couple quick shots and ended up liking this one.

It looks like I'm in deep thought, even though I'm not because I'm doing mindless work right now. I do however like being up at this time of night, so it works for me :)

This is one of our Hamsters. They are very loud and they make a huge racket whilst on the wheel, a huge distraction whilst working in the office.

King cake for Fat Tuesday!

Domo is so popular the girls are fighting over him.

Are we going up or down? Looks like Domo has chosen down. My daughter wanted in the picture too, perhaps rushing Domo into a decision.

Project365 - #21

Fresh prawns and spinach, two of the ingredients for tonights dinner. If I remember I'll take a shot of the finished product.

Day 299 - Our pumpkins ready for carving.

I forgot my camera, so I had to take this shot with my cell phone. We went out with friends to dinner and a movie. This was shot just outside the theater, just before the stroke of midnight. From left: Nikki, Michel, Jessica, and David.

Today I went out in search of the old blooms of the American witch-hazel (Hamamelis virginiana). This is a fall flowering plant and the old petioles can be seen hanging onto the plant throughout the winter. This specimen even has some dried out petals remaining. I always enjoy pointing this particular plant out to students since it is a unique native plant in a biome full of invasive species.

Cowboy hats and corn fields. Yep this is the view on the way to Thanksgiving dinner.

No sir. Definitely. I'm not getting Lazy. I'm definitely _not_ just snapping pics of my dog on the bed in the morning with my phone before I get up. Oh no. I'd never do _that_ kind of thing. Not me. No. Never.

This was a shot from the first test roll I shot with my Zeiss Ikon - a

camera built in the mid 1930s. The lens vignettes towards the corners

creating a distinctive vintage style. The furniture and wallpaper

complement this aesthetic whilst Josh with a modern DSLR offers an ironic

counterpoint. (Shot on Ilford HP5+ at f/8 for 1 second)

My office gets lots of organic fruit delivered every Monday. I don't really like fruit, but today when I was eating because I was bored, not hungry, I decided to have a few grapes.

Last days' oppressive heat puts extra demands on the newly sown grass. The sprinkler system goes on several times a day; this one taken in the evening sun.

Day 318: When in doubt of what to take a picture of, take a picture of yourself
