A bit of warmth and up pop the bulbs. Aren't they a tad early??

We hung out in the courtard to make sure that the trick or treaters new we had candy. A decided there wasn't enough fear in Halloween anymore and tried to scare them.

#project365 Gotta wear cute shoes first day back to the office!

I absolutely love beautifully organized storage spaces. The closets in the basement rooms have been the last ones to get shelving. Today is the day and I am soo excited! It was too cold to saw outside so my husband brought it in, subsequently setting off the fire alarm.

#project365 day200 Madrid, Spain

I woke up at the crack of dawn to catch the "Ave" (the quickest train in Spain) to go to Madrid. I slept the entire way, and I very well needed it after my previous night of non-stop wining and dining.

We arrived at La Puerta de Atocha station where my cousin was waiting for me. I hadn't seen her since I moved from Venezuela (more than 10 years) so we had a lot to catch up as well. We walked around Madrid and ended at a Coffee place where we talked for a couple of hrs. The we walked some more and met up with my other cousin for lunch.

My second day in Spain and all I've done is walk and eat, lol. I guess they balance out.

Project365 Day 90: Apparently this building has been empty for 30-some years. They planned to dismantle the crane (seen) after it's completion but somehow screwed up the building plans so that the crane is stuck. Woo engineering!

When I got home from Orlando, this gorgeous bouquet of roses was waiting for me. We had a nice quiet day with croissants and raspberries for breakfast in bed, watched movies and talked. I could not have asked for a better day.

Sometimes life can be hard, but one thing we should never do is give up, especially on each other and our selves.

I'd expressed interest in learning how to play piano in the recent past. While I was in CA, husband brought one home for me. She's from 1927 at least (that's the first pencil date on the soundboard), and needs some work, but I think she's amazing and wonderful. And she weighs a bajillion pounds, so she's never getting moved.

Little shops have good deals. great names too...

This is the first of my #project365 photos with me in it! :)

This photo was taken on the 11th of January, I have just been a little bust and pre-occupied over the past couple of days with the current flooding here in Brisbane, as well as Central Queensland and through Queensland's Outback.

So, this photo is Jackson and I playing the wii. The game is Rugby League 3 and Jackson LOVES it... He's getting better at the game too but he HATES being beaten... and i REFUSE to let the Raiders get beaten, so games where I'm the Raiders are very difficult balancing game between me not wanting the Raiders to lose and Jackson's frustration.

The game was Jackson and Kylie's present to me for Christmas... It's a great Christmas presie!

We walked over to the nearby Irish pub to watch the Hungarian team play against Iceland at the European soccer championship, while I knitted some more of my sister's hat. It was a nerve-wracking game that ended in 1-1, placing Hungary at the top of the group.

Day 195: I didnt feel like working hard for a picture tonight. So i laid on the couch and just took a picture of my hand. It seemed to turn out alright

Faux wood fire still produces heat..don't stand too close Domo it could singe your fur.

There's nothing quite like the first morning light.

my old brainbook and new brainbook. first (left) is covered moleskine; second (right) is a hardcover i made in a workshop last june. this is how i keep "organized."

After looking over my images from today, I really like this composition better than the daffodil I uploaded earlier. There’s a nice balance between the dog and the empty bench which implies a connection.

The end of the day is getting close and I'm still without a picture...

This may look a trivial subject but it turned out to be a fun experiment. The challenge was to capture the movement of the arm of the clock without washing out the lamp.

The whole exposure time was 8 sec, The lamp was on only for 1 sec then I turned it off and I used a flash lamp to "paint" the scene.

{330:365} If I don't remember to leave the blinds a little bit up when I go to bed, then she wakes me up as soon as the sun comes up so that she can look out the window.

One of Sean's christmas gifts. It's one of those 'let the kid make the decision what to do about it' toys, you know? so it can be a chair or a hat or a sit and spin or a whatever? he hasn't decided what to do about it. Emily took it off the floor to vacuum. <3

She wouldn't sit still for a photo, as usual. This time she came at me to play with the camera.

I love her eyes in this one.
