A surprise package came to us from my aunt in New Jersey today. When we opened it, a pile of Dutch candies and mouskous (Dutch sprinkles that you put on bread) spilled out. My whole family was very happy, as it has been almost two years since we've had a chance to load up on the treats. :-)

An effort at creating a natural frame. Not sure if it is actually a good photo, but I think it is interesting.

It's been 4 years since I last touched a paint brush. I had a few attempts but never got beyond the sketching part because of my unsettling mind. When the idea hit yesterday I decided I needed to carry it through, it's about time. I set up this little corner of the house, covered the hardwood floor and leather chairs with old towels and newspaper, a little cramped but cozy. These paint and brushes are from 6 years ago, lucky I'm an oil-painting artist instead of water colour. Oh how I miss the 4-metre-ceiling studios back in school!

Pssst..Mr. your insides are showing!

Day 56: I have been wanting to take a picture of some of my trophies i've collected in my youth, playing soccer, baseball, and most importantly hockey. In the foreground is a trophy from a hockey tourney and in the background is my high school letter for hockey from my senior year

Well the title says it all really.

My Dad passed away 30 years ago, but when he was alive, he was quite passionate about whatever would appear in the newspaper, and he wrote MANY letters to the Editors etc, about subjects he felt very strongly about. I think he would've loved our modern day Forums :-)

Anyways, he started this scrap book on 1/1/1950, and it has newspaper clippings etc from the late 40's through to the early 50's, plus things in it like petrol rationing vouchers, that sort of thing. So it does make a very interesting read.

Tomorrow, I'll include some photos in my P365 album, of a couple of "inside the Scrap Book" shots. More to be revealed......

10/29/14 - I had to drill a hole in something the othe day, so I had to get out my drill and bits. Since I didn't have any better ideas for today, I thought that they had a nice look for today's picture.

Studying this in the middle of the night is not fun

Tonight was First Friday and the reception for the St. Rose art dept's "Represent" show. In the past its been a grid and everyone is supposed to hang something but this year it was a free-for-all installation that was chaotic but enthusiastic.

i don't like snow, or winter, but taking photos of the boys playing in it makes it bearable.

Day 30 Not great post today a lovely fine from the council

133/365 Tuesday 13 May 2014 - I rushed around like a headless chicken after work and J brought around a window sample to show us. When Chief got down we dashed to Go Outdoors to pick up something before it closed. We had a disappointing meal on the way home at the Long Wall. I hardly had chance to look at my good mail.

This game lives on our enterntainment center. I am really struggling for inspiration lately. Sigh.

I know that the pic it's shaken but I like the way it's look like :P
