Autumn approaches,
It's almost time for harvest.
Away goes the green.
This photo was taken just outside of my apartment. It's not so green around here anymore, which is bad news for me. I don't mind fall, but this winter will be the coldest winter of my life. Cold is not my friend.
Nov 10 Stressful morning because Source Safe crashed. Nicky took me to lunch so we could de-stress. It helped :-D
I've got better pics of the fireplace, but I like this one because it includes the specials, which might be interesting a few years from now.
#project365 day200 Madrid, Spain
I woke up at the crack of dawn to catch the "Ave" (the quickest train in Spain) to go to Madrid. I slept the entire way, and I very well needed it after my previous night of non-stop wining and dining.
We arrived at La Puerta de Atocha station where my cousin was waiting for me. I hadn't seen her since I moved from Venezuela (more than 10 years) so we had a lot to catch up as well. We walked around Madrid and ended at a Coffee place where we talked for a couple of hrs. The we walked some more and met up with my other cousin for lunch.
My second day in Spain and all I've done is walk and eat, lol. I guess they balance out.
Project365 Day 90: Apparently this building has been empty for 30-some years. They planned to dismantle the crane (seen) after it's completion but somehow screwed up the building plans so that the crane is stuck. Woo engineering!
Taken from my FauxPhone (iPhone w/o phone service) and effects applied via iPhone app "Camera Bag".
Ack, I forgot to upload this yesterday! Anyway, this helps quench the thirst of a floor of Microsoft employees. (A crappy picture, but the only one I took yesterday, unfortunately.)
This is the first of my #project365 photos with me in it! :)
This photo was taken on the 11th of January, I have just been a little bust and pre-occupied over the past couple of days with the current flooding here in Brisbane, as well as Central Queensland and through Queensland's Outback.
So, this photo is Jackson and I playing the wii. The game is Rugby League 3 and Jackson LOVES it... He's getting better at the game too but he HATES being beaten... and i REFUSE to let the Raiders get beaten, so games where I'm the Raiders are very difficult balancing game between me not wanting the Raiders to lose and Jackson's frustration.
The game was Jackson and Kylie's present to me for Christmas... It's a great Christmas presie!
She wouldn't sit still for a photo, as usual. This time she came at me to play with the camera.
I love her eyes in this one.
A slight detour on the way home - found some interesting hidden away places but in the end was a sucker for the river shot. London's very pretty by night. It's frickin' cold though. ... Posted via email from Musings + Project 365
This was never intended to be my Project365 image for today, but I ran out of time and had to pick something I shot today. This was a high ISO test I was doing during a walk around the block with my daughter. Straight from the camera, then converted in LR to JPG. No adjustments. Better than my D300s can handle but still leaves room for improvement.
I never seem to have a long enough lens to get a good picture of the ducks in our neighborhood pond. I'll also have to go back tomorrow with some gloves and a trash bag...people are slobs.
My kids made a great Mothers Day dinner tonight. Then we all went to see Iron Man.
Day 38: Project 365
Project 27/365
Couldn't shoot a wheat field, but for some reason a windmill just screams Kansas. Didn't get a lot of shot today, spent more time drinking and catching up with friends, but I saw this as we were driving around.
