Day 250: It was jon's last day at our office, he finally took a new job in NYC. He won't be missed at all. Who wants a cry baby at work anyways.
Project365 photo for 25th Feb, 2009. Spent about $35 at goodwill making our back patio awesome. Ikea table: $15, upholstering fabric: about $10 for a pretty big roll of the stuff, and about $2 worth of nails that we already had. The chairs we had already, too. Our back patio is now useful. The cat likes it too. Played Munchkin out there last night. The little bundle of fabric in the bottom is blocking a drain that had wires peeking out from under the stucco. Apologies for the crooked photo; I don't have proper editing software.
So our female Black Yucatan Molly had bunch of babies while we were at work. We came home to see only two surviving, which we watched in horror as they were eaten. Well we found a survivor. Horrible image but I don't have my macro lens yet.
Yes, those are project 365 cookies. Lemon ones if you must know. There's a behind the scenes shot too, hopefully it comes up in the right order.Don't worry, I made normal shaped ones as well. ... Posted via email from Musings + Project 365
When I woke up this morning it was 59 degrees Fahrenheit (that's 15 degrees Celsius for the rest of the world) and now we have snow. Ohio winters really suck.
A close-up look at the first jar of pickled green tomatoes I opened. The grand experiment I started back in October was successful. All four jars survived with seals intact!
Faced with a surplus of green cherry tomatoes as I prepared to tear down the garden in October, a friend suggested that I pickle them. I think this may become an annual tradition.

So this day was beyond weird....
I had this weird craving for Patron XO (coffee flavor). I even got home and was dreaming about it while I took a nap.
So me and the brothers went to Distillery in The Fort and fulfilled my dream. We killed that dam bottle of Patron in 35mins flat!
TEQUILA TIME = 2 KILL ME TIME!
And then for good measure, we went to this place that had our Bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Waiting... we got there and took a smooth sipper each & I got to take a pic with its glory!
Today’s challenge - Make a photograph today with strong direct light that casts crisp dark shadows
I know. It’s my Christmas cactus. It was a cloudy day. There was no sun. And it literally did not occur to me to use artificial light. After the day I had at work, I was completely brain dead.
Today's Project 365 pic of a swan and her cygnets, comes from the shores of Lake Wendouree.
Luckily this one let me get quite close, unlike the swan that I got a little too close to last year to get this shot www.flickr.com/photos/deanog/5013705044
She took offence and charged at me a couple of seconds after that shot.
I'm a little behind on our weekly chore chart. That's a menu down at the bottom - intended to help us plan ahead, but so far just an incomplete chronicle of what we ate during the week.
